Seriously, I think I've tried every bag recommended by this thread, and I'm still not sure which I'm going to use.

Ebags and Shoebuy are a g-dsend for their free returns. My problem is that I haven't yet figured out the style of bag I want to carry -- the bulk of supplies will be in a backpack in the stroller (I got the High Sierra Impact in lime green from ebags and love it), but it's the personal bag that will make or break my comfort during the day. I think I have too many choices!!!
Still in the running:
1. Baggallini messenger in crinkle nylon: Love the organization and size, but I'm worried that the thick strap across my body will make me too hot and feel weighed down. I do find that the messenger rides too high on my neck, and have a seatbelt pad I got in the auto section of
Walmart (thanks to another tip on this board) in case I end up using it.
2. Jansport Boardwalk sling: This is most likely too big, but I'm not sure if this is a useful bag to have anway -- like for trips when I don't have a second bag with the bulk of my supplies.
3. Jansport Coltrane fanny pack: may be too bulky when filled
4. Ameribag Healthy back in Small: nice organization, a bit too big, but the extra small was too small
5. Ful sling (got this one from Target): everything about this one is great except it's missing the all important outside water bottle pocket
6. Vera Bradley large backpack: already had this, but I think it's too big for what I need, and it's not waterproof
7. LeSportsac Tokidoki Scuola: think this is too big, and it tends to hang away from my back when full, and small things tend to get lost at the bottom.
8. REI Nikole day bag: converts from sling to backpack (wish they all did this), but I've been testing this one out and it's not organized the way I'd like -- also, the way the front pocket opens, it's easy to drop things out of there.
9. Rebok nylon drawstring bag: Got this at Target. Love how simple and lightweight this is, plus it has two large front pockets that fit a water bottle. It lacks internal organization however, and things may just end up lost. Also there's no zipper closure. Plus, I'm thinking that a sling is a better style so I don't have to take off the backpack every time I need something.
For anyone who's interested, I returned the:
1. Baggallini messenger in rip stop nylon: The rip stop was actually heavier, and I didn't like the PVC lining on the inside of the rip stop version.
2. Travelon sling/backpack -- really didn't like the material or the organization and found it very uncomfortable.
3. Pottery Barn sling (diaper sling): the bag itself is too heavy and bulky.
4. CalGate Gate: too big and heavy
5. Ameribag Healthy Back sling in Extra Small : too small -- it's fits everything, but no room for anything else I might want to shove in there, and I don't want it to be that tight of a fit.
6. Overland Equipment Luna: way too small
HTH someone!!!
