DH and I are thinking about going out to the stores tomorrow for some post-Christmas discounts.

Where did you go, what kind of discounts did you see, and what did you purchase (holiday or non-holiday items)? Would like to hear what kind of deals you found ;).

Thanks in advance.

Word is that on New Years Day.... Everything that is on sale is an ADDITIONAL 50% off at Dillard's. :rolleyes1

I just saw a commercial for Walmart that holiday stuff and some toys are 50% off.

:thumbsup2 Yes it is. My favorite day to shop, well, that and black Friday, and any other time they have additional 50% off. Just ask me about my new furniture. :rolleyes1

Hardly any good deals this year!

One of my local Targets had tons of Christmas stuff left at 50% off but honestly, unless it is 75% off I'm not really interested.

Shopko is an absolute JOKE! They hike up their "regular" prices so much and then have a 50%-70% off clearance but even with that, items are still sky high. I saw ordinary strands of LED Christmas lights for $32 "regular" price, then 50% off, so $16...which is normal price anywhere else. They do that with everything! It drives me nuts! They usually have nice wrapping paper so I went for that but it was $5 a roll on clearance. $10 regular price, seriously?!

I did manage to get Bath & Body Works shower gel for $2.75 each in some of the old scents. They had Pearberry, Pink Grapefruit, and Country Apple. I got 2 Pearberry and one Pink Grapefruit. They had good deals on tons of stuff but I didn't really "need" anything else.

Kohls' is another place that has lots of 50% off, BUT the catch is you can usually get it for that price everyday elsewhere because they hike the prices up. Occasionally, if you watch for them, you can get good deals, but when I went in after christmas, most things were still 50-60% off. They have been like that for most of the last month. I was able to purchase some things (soaps, body cremes) at 75% off at Bath & Body Shop.

I went to Walmart - nothing much left - just some garland and ribbons at 50% off. Still had quite a few toys on clearance though. I don't have young kids so don't care about the toys.

Target - didn't bother. Shelves were pretty well empty on Dec. 21 when I stopped in to get some things.

Bath and Body Works - found 75% off holiday shower gels, soap and lotion. Grabbed a few of those.

Hallmark - stuff 40% off. Barely anything left.

I was going to head to Kohl's today but changed my mind after seeing how badly backed up the traffic was and came home after stopping in Dress Barn to check out their 60% off sale. Dress Barn was extremely picked over and I left with nothing.

I don't know if your area is like mine but I think between the stores having less stock this year and more people out looking for bargains, it's going to be hard to find many after Christmas deals.

I went to several stores today and left with just four bottles of lotion from BBW and some Starbucks Christmas blend from Target. Although I'm happy with what I got at BBW, I was disappointed overall as there was almost nothing 75%. The sale on the regular stuff was no better than half dozen other times a year, and 1/2 price for gift sets doesn't excite me. The Starbucks WAS a good deal -- half price and there's a mail-in rebate for a $5 gift card. It will end up being less than $8 for two bags and a package of VIA.

I was really disappointed with a couple of my favorite clothing stores. The stuff on deep discount was awful and the good stuff was barely on sale. At American Eagle, the pants I gave my son for Christmas were $12 more than what I paid two weeks ago.

Target- I went to two different ones this week and one was only 30% off and the other was 50% off. I only got a couple of cloth napkin sets and some catnip mice at 50% off.

Old Navy- They had a huge sale going on. I went to night and items were up to 75% off, plus for every $20 you spent you got $10 is super bucks to use later. For $45 I got, a tech-hoodie- two pairs of mukluk slippers, a pair of pj bottoms, a white flowy tank, two pairs of cozy socks, 3 sets of magic gloves, and a sweater.

Walmart- Did not have anything I wanted but it was 50% off.

Hi, could you share where the rebate is for Starbucks coffee? I bought a few bags earlier this week and would love a rebate deal if available.

My only MUST shop after Christmas is Yankee Candle. Most of the candles are 50% off and then I used a coupon for $10 off a $25 purchase. I don't EVER purchase the candles at full price $25.99 for the large ones! Got them for about $8.50 each after sale and coupon!! They even let me use multiple coupons in one transaction (I was all set to have my kids make purchases!!) I am stocked up for the year and even found a few new scents I like. Spiced Orange and Macintosh Spice smell great!!

I went shopping Tuesday. I purchased nothing. I was very dissapointed in the sales this year. This is the first time I walked out of Bath and Body and did not spend one cent during their sale.

I needed small white lights for dd's upcoming wedding reception. I hit up 2 Lowes, 2 Kmarts, Walmart, Target, CVS and Kroger and only found one pack of 200 (that were falling out of their box--a mess, but I bought them). I have memories of Christmases past of lighst just sitting on the shelves at 75% off. Im thinking that stores have ordered much less stuff, because it seems like there is much less to buy. Target usually has TONS of paper, bows, etc. and it was really picked over on day 1 after Christmas.

Joann's and Michael's were pretty much picked over by Monday afternoon. The wrapping paper was 70% off but not much of a selection. I purchased hats, gloves and scarfs at JC Penneys at 60-70% and using the $10 off
$25 it was a fantastic deal and a great gift for next years teachers.

I got some Christmas themed boxes of puffs last night at Target, and ordered a few Starbucks gift sets on clearance from Walmart just now. Other than that I didn't even look at after Christmas clearance stuff because I don't need or want anything.

I bought a few board games at Walmart that were half off. I also ordered some t-shirts from the Disney Store that were 6.80 after a 15% discount and free shipping. I ordered some clothes from Victoria's Secret that were on clearance.
