brady961, please forgive me if I am wrong but might you be young, unemcumbered and with a good education? With those qualities you have much more freedom and many more choices than some. True, some people have made choices in their lives that limit their chances but some people have so much tenure that they are locked into their positions and have no choice but to try to improve their situation.
On the other hand I have known many who have wonderful skills but have not the courage to move from one job to another. Life is an interesting game.
I do agree that if you are not earning a living wage you should either get more education, or work your way up in your current situation or something. I believe that it is possible to work your way up at Disney by taking on jobs that require more from you though. I have friends who are CM's who have done so. I also currently have a friend who had a blood clot recently and Disney is paying all her medical expenses so that is a good thing also.
Wish my kids had listened to me when I tried to explain that education gives you more choices and make you a more valuable employee.
In the end most things work out for the best and I hope it does in this situation as well, for both sides.
SG/Linda
