Birthday Party at Disneyland Hotel

Just looking to see if anyone has any birthday party suggestions for a VDH weekend!

A night at Trader Sam's sounds fun, but im hesitant to invite people without a reservation?

I'm considering Splitsville as well, has anyone done this and is there some kind of party package or how was your experience?

Where is the live music?

Im not impressed with any of the in room celebration stuff they have. Can't really think if anything else so other ideas are welcome!

I'm doing my birthday there next year. All adults. I'm still in the ideas floating around phase. I'm kind of waiting to see what's all going on at the time. My initial thought was Trader Sam's (would get a reservation in a perfect world. Other thoughts are: drinking around the hotels (get a drink and a snack at all 3 hotels), potential scavenger hunt in DTD, meal at Carthay..... It would just be one of those things.

My friends will have to pay for a one day ticket for the parks so I'm trying to think of non park stuff. We're staying in a one bedroom at VDH. It's in the spring so if we do a park, it'll probably be DCA because I think there will be Food booths. If there's an Easter egg hunt in DTD, I would like to do that. I feel like I have to wait for Disneyland to annoy whatever they are going to have at the time before I make plans.

I should have specified mine was for all adults too Yeah the thing about traders is its impossible to get a reservation and I didnt even bother because it would be for like a party of 15 yeah right im going to get that

I like the doing stuff around the hotels idea. I was also trying to think of non park things because my wife and I can just go to the parks one of the days and for that I was thinking of doing the 70th anniversary tour since thats something different.

And yes Disney not releasing their activity calendar until later is frustrating! Its listing the live entertainment for december but not january! If thats by a restaurant then id like to book at that restaurant. I was thinking a spa day would be nice to finally experience the spa but ofc now im staying at vdh

This will be my birthday after direct purchase But speaking of, planning a grand villa birthday party does sound really fun! I wonder how hard it is to get a vgc one or do they even have one and im afraid to know how much

Sometimes you can score them at 7 months.
At VGC you can even use resale points.
Often the non-accessible room is booked but
Click the accessible rooms box when booking as there are only 2 at each DVC in California and one at each is accessible.
