we just a notice from DVC that says its the annual dues statement
it also says
this statement inclues payments recieved and charges through 12/15/25

now my question is is this the amount we use for taxes or we will get something else from them
we have an account do our taxes and I dont remember what we send him

I am not sure because all I have ever read is the consensus is there really isnt enough tax credit to make it worth even bothering submitting for taxes.

Will you be itemizing deductions and claiming a deduction for state and local taxes? If so, then the property taxes actually paid should be eligible for the SALT deduction. But, you have to calculate what you actually paid, not the estimated part of your dues. So, let's say you were a member for all of 2025. You would take the amount that was estimated as part of your 2025 dues, then add or subtract the credit/debit included as part of your 2026 tax bill to calculate the amount of property taxes actually paid for 2025. That amount can be added to your other state and local taxes and claimed as a deduction if you are itemizing your deductions.

SALT deduction cap was increased to $40k this year (up from $10k the past few years), so quite a few people could stand to benefit from this. And, don't forget, if you live in a state with low or no income taxes, you can deduct local sales taxes in lieu of local income taxes.
