It has been quite awhile since we've been to WDW. I seem to remember there were places where you could get portraits painted. Is that still so? Anyone know the cost?

I read you could get them done at the Grand Floridian.

We got one done in pastels (chalk) at the GF, but I didn't see any paint.

Pastel portraits are also done in Epcot, on the sidewalk in front of France.

We have gotten portraits done at the Contemporary Hotel (in the hall where the shops are) They are actually some type of pastel/crayon that the artist uses. They are a tad bit like a characature? I don't recall the picture being as high as 75 dollars though. It was 3 years ago, but I am guessing 50 bucks. I love them. I have done this twice now on trips, I frame them and hang them in the disney basement of my home! It is a great keepsake.

In September 2003, there was someone doing them in the lobby of Beach Club. I do think they were more like pastels; but definitely not caricatures. They were around $85 I think.:earsgirl:
