Unfortunately, I hung up my parellel bar and triangles long ago to go into management.... or I would volunteer. I just missed the Autocad days by a few years!

Good thing you have another volunteer. I am afraid this old horse would take a lot of time to learn Autocad at this late date....;)

Hi all!

What are your thoughts of building 28?

We are booked late Sept with a Garden View Room, and I requested building 28, first floor.

I figure it's kind of centrally located. Fairly close to West Depot. Fairly close to the quiet pool near bldgs 24, 25, and not a huge hike to the main pool. It is a little hike to the main building, but just wondering your thoughts on 28.

Thanks!

Dan

Anyone have any thoughts regarding my question from yesterday? Just wondering if I should keep what I asked for, or if there is a better location. Thanks.

Dan

I would say that is a very nice location.

In between two quiet pools, near the bus stop, about a five to six minute walk to the main building.

To give you some perspective, we were in the back two rooms at Acadian House, facing the parking lot, on the exact opposite side of the North Depot.

It didn't take but 3 - 4 minutes to walk to the bus stop, we were practically a stone's throw from the pool. We had a five year old and a 14 month old and we walked around the Main Pool, and it took about eight minutes or so, but it was a slow walk with the little ones, stroller, etc.

Hey everyone, guess what my AAA agent got yesterday, after the trip was over since the 3rd?

Our agent just got the Magical Express Mail!!! But our trip is over, what the heck???

Anyone else that has had to call and get their info resent please PM me and let me know if this had happened for you also when you got back.

We arrive Saturday and have RGR - Garden View. I am so excited! I was excited when I booked them way back in August but the anticipation is about to kill me! I have to focus and finish packing though! Thanks to all who post here for the updates!

We're going on our first WDW vacation as a family in January. We're trying to figure out where to stay and POR sound like the most affordable option for our family. We're a family of 6 but our youngest will only be 2 so she'll sleep in a pack & play. My other kids will be 9, 7 and 4. I saw a floorplan of POR and it looked kind of cramped with full beds. I understand they are renovating them to include queen beds. Are they cramped with the queen beds? The pictures look like there's not a lot of space, but it seems doable, but I couldn't figure out from the pictures where the pack & play would fit and still leave room to walk. I know it's hard to tell without actually seeing it, so I was hoping someone with a similar family has actually stayed in the refurbished AB rooms and could comment on how much space there is. I don't think we'll be spending much awake time there, but we don't want to be crammed in like sardines.

Disneyfive - try for 16 - we stayed there GV and it was super - next to Q pool and same walk to south & west depot but closer to FC & big pool.

Lucifie - I don't know if they will let you book for 6 but if they will with a PP then ask them to remove the table and two chairs during your visit.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Can I just say that I am soooooo jealous of the people who will be checking into a Royal Room this weekend. It has been pretty stressful at work and I could use a vacation now! I only have 50 days to wait, but I have a feeling they are going to be the longest 50 days of my life!

In our Mickey Mail the luggage tags look like those hard plastic ID tags that you put on yourself & they are very pale yellow. We had to call to get 2 extra ones and these are like the ones the airport puts on your checked luggage and these are bright yellow. Why are they different...Do I need to call them back?

I couldn't have said it better myself.... My company is in the process of closing and it's not the best environment around here :sad2: Our last day should be May 1... and I'll be checking into a Royal Room on May 3!

I took an entire crew last year; myself, two couples, and one child and one infant. We specifically booked the child in my room to be in the mansions. There was two couples and the infant in the pack n' play in the connecting room.

While they did okay on floor space, they lacked in drawer space. With no armoire in the AB section, you will have little storage for clothes.

I posted a website link from the Disney site in your other posting with a way of inputting your data to see the options you have on-site.

What a great way to unwind after all your work drama! A royal room .... of course this is assuming there are no changes in your future! :rolleyes1

These are two separate things. You should have received two different envelopes, one with the hard plastic ID tags, booklet and coupons, another with your ME vouchers and yellow luggage tags. The hard plastic ID tags have no use as far as ME goes. If you are using ME, you need to make sure you have enough of the yellow luggage tags and the vouchers. Those will have your resort name printed on them. If you haven't received those, I would call.

Unless you've booked a Room Only reservation, all you'll get is the yellow ME tags. I think they send one per person now (but you can call for more). You only get the hard, pretty, WDW luggage tags, coupon and vouchers if you have a package.

They will book for 6. Since my youngest is under 3 she doesn't count as an occupant. I don't think we could stay there if she were older. I did see a post from someone early in the thread who stayed there with 3 teen/preteen kids and it sounded like they had enough space. I wouldn't have even thought of asking them to remove the table and chairs. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, All! I was hoping someone on this thread could help me out with a question on a split stay.

I am taking DD7 on a surprise trip for just the two of us 6/7-6/17 (Dad is staying at home). I was flip-flopping back and forth on resorts for a long time after I originally booked Pop under the % discount. When I finally decided on POR-Royal Room, there was no more availability under the current % discount. So, what I decided to do is a split stay and do Pop from 6/7-6/13 and POR 6/13-6/17.

Question is, how do I go about getting our luggage to POR? Also, while I'm at it, how do I handle the park tickets? I am planning on purchasing tickets through Undercover tourist (10-day park hopper). IIRC, I can have those attached to my KTTW card. But, there will be two cards now with the two resorts......??

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

They most likely did NOT stay in a refurbished room, since there are few buildings in AB completed.

The issue is clothing storage; before there was ample storage in the armoire. Now that has been replaced by the Murphy bed with three drawers underneath and some storage under the sink area. I think you would have to bring storage cubes to keep clothing in. You might need the table and chairs to stack clothing on.... so I wouldn't consider asking them to remove them.
