yeah we have the package....again thank you so much

We do not use the bright yellow ME tags. I claim my own bags and take them with me to the ME bus. If you use the tag, they will get your bags for you and deliver them to your room a few hours after you arrive.

I like to know all my bags have made it, and put them in my room before I head out.

Normally I would do the same BUT after what happen at Orlando airport 2 yrs ago I rather not. We somehow got separated from princess and 30 seconds later we found her on the conveyor belt at baggage claim. We can laugh about it now but it wasnt funny then...rather embarrassing. Since we will have 4 or 5 pieces of luggage it will be a little bit difficult to keep an eye on her.

OH NO!!! :scared1:

OMG - that happened to us when we arrived back at PHL on our last trip.

Despite the fact, we told the 5 year old to stay with mom and the rest of us would pull all of the bags, it didn't happen that way.

We were busy pulling and she was on the side riding the thing... ugh.

The entire beauty of ME is having them take care of the bags for you.....at no charge. I take advantage of it every time.

There isn't anything worse than being the last stop of three resorts and having to wait for the bus driver to load and unload all of that luggage while the rest of us are impatiently waiting to get to the last stop.

You should have everything you need for 24 hours in your carry-on anyway....I am not sure why people insist on bringing all of their bags on the bus.

Ahhhhh...the days with little ones!!!!:rotfl:

with southwest we get 2 free checked luggage per person....it would be cheaper than shipping it down there.

Even paying to check a box is cheaper than shipping. We flew airtran the last time we went and my box was HEAVY!! I cant imagine what shipping would have been. This time we are also flying SW....already have my box and a few things in it!! Breakfast in the room saves alot of time!!
Only 20 more days for me!!!

Do you tip the DME drivers? Also do you tip any of the resort workers? We already planning on tipping mousekeeping. I've tried searching but not exacting finding what I'm looking for.

It was my first time traveling with two children. I usually travel alone or with my mom or work mates.

What a shock to see that five year riding on a piece of luggage around the baggage claim.....:rotfl:

It was a shock lol but I feel so much better that I'm not the only one who has a very adventurous kid :rotfl2:

Hi, All! I was hoping someone on this thread could help me out with a question on a split stay.
.... Question is, how do I go about getting our luggage to POR? .....
Any help is greatly appreciated! :)
Bell Services will move your luggage for you ... just drop it off or have them come to your room to pick it up. Tell them you'd like to do a resort transfer .... They will give you a numbered ticket and place coresponding tags or stickers on your luggage. Resort transfers happen between 3-4 PM. once you've checked into the new resort and have your room, call bell services, give them the ticket number and they will deliver your luggage to your room :)

That sounds nice and easy, and it looks like you've probably had a lot of experience due to all of your split stays!! Sending off our luggage when heading to the parks at the start of the day and picking the bags up at POR later in the day sounds so simple! Have you had any problems with the bags not showing up timely at the next resort?

Anyone have thoughts on how to work out the tickets? It would probably just be easiest to load them on the Pop KTTW and then keep both sets of keys once moved to POR.

You cannot do that. Your POP card deactivates the day of checkout. Best to wait til you get to POR. It has to be done at the concierge desk after check-in.

Tip ME drivers $1per bag they place under the bus. You cannot tip positions that are not working for tips. But please tip Todd, John, andHolly in the lounge, as well as Yeehah Bob. They are the best!

That's good to know. I just assumed if you had more days on your ticket than you stayed at the resort, the key would still work as a ticket even if it would no longer work as a room key.

So it shouldn't be an issue to transfer the remaining theme park admission days from my Pop KTTW to my POR KTTW at the concierge desk after I check in at POR?

If this question is now getting too off topic for this particular thread, please someone let me know and I'll find a new spot :)

What if I'm not picking up my bags at baggage claim? Are you talking about our carry on bags? Please forgive my ignorance....its been a LONG day lol

That's okay! You are among friends.

If you have a carryon that can fit on your lap, you can hold it.

Now that I have my WDW rolling carryon, that I got last year on a promo, (Yippee), it has to be placed underneath.

People have reported from time to time it has been impossible for the concierge desk to put third party tickets on your KTTW card. UG seems to be easier than most, since they are widely known with Disney.

We shipped a very heavy box down last spring it cost about 8 bucks and we shipped two boxes (one very heavy again) and one not so heavy it was under $20. Dealing with too much luggage is not a fun idea when you have 3 small children (all 3 and under)

We went ahead and tipped the driver anyway, even though we didn't pick up our bags. He did delivered us though, right? ;)

Ugh! Doesn't sound like it's worth the hassle to save less than $30.

So, what about if I purchase the tickets from Disney. It would be really nice to have them put on the KTTW card. Since I'll be purchasing 10 day tickets but changing resorts mid-stream, it should be painless it transfer the remaining days to the new KTTW after POR check-in, right??
