Here are a few random pics around the resort from our vacation last week.

More amazing photos :goodvibes I'm starting to get excited now, just got to hope that the VA strikes don't happen on my planned day of travel :sad1: I want to get to POFQ and the sunshine!! :rotfl:

All of these nice photos are getting me so excited about our trip! :goodvibes

Has anyone been able to successfully use a twin air mattress on the floor with the queen beds in the room? I know it'll be a tight fit, but would it fit?

...I wonder if you'd mind if I used your photos & some of your text as the basis to make a separate page on my portorleans.org site for Accessible rooms, as I get quite a few questions on the subject and your pics are great.

Andre

I'd be very happy if you used them! Feel free to use/modify them however you wish.

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing their photos and mini-trip reports! They make me even more excited for my upcoming stay at POFQ! :cool1:

Does anyone here know if POFQ offers regular hair dryers or just the wall ones? TIA! :thumbsup2

We did and it worked just fine. We did tip the air mattress up against the wall during the day. No one wants to sleep with ds11 so we bring the air mattress now.

I am very excited for our trip. We're going to book when Dh gets paid on the first and I am counting the days!

Thanks! We're a family of 4, but everyone's sleeping situation is much improved if each kid (teen, in our case) has his/her own bed. We've been bringing an air mattress to POR and are hoping to use it at POFQ.

Us too! A few years back my dd put her foot down and refused to share a bed with ds and I don't blame her. DS is a wild sleeper. I suggested we go girls in one bed and boys in the other and my dh won't do that. Now we bring the air mattress and everyone is happier.

The first year we did it (with the double beds) we left the bed on the floor and the mousekeeper would make it up for him. It was cute. This year we tipped it up during the day but they would leave extra sheets, blankets and pillows. It worked well.

Thanks for the air mattress tip.

We have a 20 year old DS and a 17 year old DD.
They do not sleep together.
So an air mattress will come with us.

It would be nice if we could get an extra set of sheets and blankets.

I thought I would have to bring our own for the air mattress.
Our DS would share a pillow from the bed he sleeps in with his sister:rotfl:

I noticed in the pics on portorleans.org there are full size bottles of wine and soft drinks, cereal boxes etc for sale in the store. Do they sell wine glasses and bowls (plastic ok) or do you need to find your own elsewhere?

pwdebbie, what kind of room was yours? King or 2 queens? I would love that view!

We had a king corner room. It was as far from the main building as you could get in Building 6 but it was still very convenient to everything. The year before, we had the equivalent room in Building 5 and were very pleased there too.

Someone mentioned the lack of people in pictures -- Well, my pics were probably taken shortly after dawn as I am an early riser. At that hour, there might be an occasional jogger go past (I always wonder why people have to exercise while at Disney, don't they walk enough in the parks?) but that's about it.
