Can anyone give approximate bus times (not waiting for one but actually travel time)?? I know that it varies with traffic and such but just to get an idea....thinking about switching from Movies to FQ for about $250 dollars........

I'm so excited! I was worried that I would have to cancel my trip, as airfares have been climbing along with gas prices. Air tran just released fares for my dates, and I was able to get $89 each way. I had to tweak the dates a little, and we are flying home on Thanksgiving, but that is much better than the other fares I had seen at $200 each way. Now to hope for a cose for the Disney portion! POFQ, Here I come!

I'm not sure what the numbers are, but what exactly are you concerned about? There is a row of trees planted along the parking lot in this area, so you really won't have an issues with a parking lot view from 4...you actually have a nice "garden" view. Building 7 is worse for view (facing the parking lot I mean) you're a lot closer to the lot and I don't remember any trees... (Tinknme - you reading?? What room were we in?! LOL!?)

We are here at POFQ now and they oversold the king beds. Wanted to switch us to SSR but I wasn't having it so they put us in a queen bed. Building 5 gorgeous room and the location is great. No longer serves taco salads so DH is bummed ha ha. POFQ is so quiet but we walked over to the POR and it is insane!! Just waiting for the boat to go back to our resort and the line is sooo long!

I wonder if this is as a result of some of the King Bed Accessible rooms having recently been converted to two Queen beds? Maybe someone forgot to tell the booking office...

4x01 to 4x04 are the closest to the parking lot (they are directly on the end of the building) but 4x11 to 4x26 also face toward the parking lots, but overlooking a tree-lined courtyard area first. Take a look at Google maps (or even better, Google Earth's 3D buildings) for an idea of the layout - here's a link to a view of building 4: http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&map....381201,-81.537187&spn=0.000801,0.001438&z=20.

But as another poster said, just wondering what you need the info for?

Thanks for the live update! Sorry you didn't get your king bed, and I would have held my ground to stay at POFQ, too.

Does POFQ have a create your own salad station? It was good to hear that POFQ is relatively quiet. : )

Sorry you weren't able to get the king bed room, but I'm happy to hear that you stuck with POFQ. No more taco salads! Oh no! I really like them. Do you have a trip report going on in another forum here?

I know...time does fly. I've been waiting so long for that terrible winter to be gone so I don't want to wish Summer away this year.

I wish that I could get $89 each way. For my family of 4 it costs us over $2600 (in airfare alone) to get to the mouse and that is with a seat sale! Originally, before the seat sale was offered, I was pricing airfares at $3600 to $4000. I'm just happy to be going back and I can't wait for August!

Yeah...everything else that I looked at was between $1500 and $2000 for the 4 of us! We would have had to cancel at that point. I was waiting for Southwest fares to come out, but jumped on the Air Tran ones before they were gone. Part of the problem was that it was so close to Thanksgiving, but it is not like we are trying to fly cross country....we are in PA.

I'm staying at POFQ in july. we have a character breakfast planed at Ohana one morning. what is the easiest way to get there downtown disney or magic kingdom? If the breakfast is at 8:30 how early do I need to leave?

Building 4 is close...but to be that broken record there is nothing more than a 5 minute walk to the front.
But, of course because I said this, now you'll get Building 1 and upgraded to a river view! LOL!

Grab the earlier bus about 07:30 to the MK and jump on the monorail straight into the Poly you should be there in plenty of time. We did this back in 2009, we too had an early slot and had lots of time to spare even though there seemed to be a huge queue. We later found out that lots of families had decided on a spur of the moment to go there for breakfast. We didn't even have to wait that long once we checked in and got our pager and freshened up, just as we got back we were called through. It was a fantastic breakfast with plenty to eat and the characters were great too. We are glad we booked it in advance and our bus driver was efficient ...just in case you were worried don't be.Enjoy your visit
