I called today with a PIN I received today in the mail for June. They also only had "garden view". We jumped at it. We are so excited about staying at POFQ for the first time.:banana:

When I booked my reservation yesterday (directly through Disney over the phone) I asked for a Standard room, if available but was told there wasn't availability. The CM said she had a King room so I went ahead and booked it. Later on in the conversation she said the king room wouldn't be guaranteed and I didn't think anything of it BUT I realize the King room is about $25/night more and we'll be staying for 9 nights. If there aren't any King rooms available will they adjust the price? I assume not since the full payment is due 45 days prior to arrival.

Thanks!

Since King room is a bookable category and cost more, if they can not provide one for you at check in, they have to refund the price difference if there is one. If they you put in a room with queen beds in a river view room that's the same price as a king then they wouldn't of course.

I once booked (and paid) for a preferred room at Pop. As we were checking in, I realized we had been placed in a standard room. When I mentioned it to the young CM, he just kept checking us in and made the offhand comment that Disney frequently overbooks and they did not have any more preferred rooms, so we had been placed in a standard room. He acted like it wasn't any big deal and happens all the time. He wasn't even going to mention it, if I hadn't known where the preferred rooms were and asked about it. When I asked about the price differece then, he got huffy, said it would take a manger to refund the difference, all the managers were busy, and did I really want to go through that.:mad: Uh, yeah, I want that price difference back. It took just a few moments for a manager to credit my credit card back for the difference.:rotfl:

One more question please (or maybe more ;))... Does the POFQ store sell gallon jugs of water? If it doesn't any idea where we can get them without having a car? Thanks :flower3:

There used to be (and prob is still there) and gas station by the park that has a convient store. They had soda and beer; so water also I guess.

I know some folks use Garden Grocer that delivers to the resorts. check it out on line. I know they charge for delivery; but it maybe worth it if u need several items for your stay.

I am almost certain I saw gallon jugs of water for sale in the gift shop earlier this month.

Happy Christmas!

My friend and her family will be arriving there Monday. I'll ask her to check out the gift shop for water.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday if you celebrate another holiday.:santa:

THANK YOU!

We are staying at POFQ for the first time in January. I'm a college student, and all my classes are online next semester, but I was nervous about the trip.

I typically check-in my classes once a day in case something pops up and wasn't wild about paying $10/day for that.

So glad to read I'll be able to pop on my iPad and check for free!

Thank you, thank you!

Now to decide if it's worth dragging a laptop "just in case"...

Another amazing stay at POFQ. Sorry this is a little late we returned 11/28 but Dec has been a hectic month.

DD and I were in WDW 11/18-11/28 staying at POFQ 11/18-11/25 then switching to CR.

Our flight was later this trip not arriving at POFQ till almost 8:00PM. We had done online checkin and have always been pleased with our room but arrivng this late I was a little concerned.

From the moment we arrived every castmember was outstanding. One of the reasons we love FQ so much. Our room was perfect again and received all our requests. The new rooms are beautiful and beds are comfy but like everyone has posted the pillows are hard.

We enjoyed the movies a couple of nights such a nice addition and DD loves the pool. Transportation was good especailly during Thanksgiving week. We did opt to take a cab for some dinner ADR's and were pleasantly surprised just $11.00 to the BC and $18.00 to CR. So worth is if you're pressed for time.

We love POFQ :cloud9:

We would be staying at POFQ in June but with the current offer got a great deal at the BC and DD's always wanted to go to SWW.

We have stayed at POR in the Mansions in the past and liked it.
We just booked for the 25% off rooms only to POR Alligator Bayou in May.
We are so excited! :cool1::banana::dance3:
We actually prefer beging further away from the main pool and food court and the reservationist told me that we have the Garden View in Alligator Bayou and it looks beautiful. She also noted that we wanted a refurbished room. (which I think by this time; end of May, they will most all be refurbished.)
Any tips from any of you that have stayed there?
Thanks!!!

This is the POFQ thread, you'll probably get more responses in the POR Thread. If you go to the last couple of pages, there's a discussion about pretty much your exact question in fact.

My friend just checked in with us. She said that all she saw in the gift shop were 1.5 litre bottles of water for $3.75. No jugs. Sorry.

And she said she is enjoying the WiFi.

Thank you so much for having your friend check!! That was very kind

Couple of quick tech questions.

Anyone know if the TV's have HDMI connection?
Is wifi official in room? if so has anyone tried to stream NetFlix? Was it OK?
Is wired internet connection free now also?

Bringing a few wi-fi devices Nook, Asus Transformer Tablet etc so good wifi will be important.

Looking forward to vacation 50 days and counting :)

Anyone know if the TV's have HDMI connection? Yes, they do. There's a patch panel on the table near to the TV.

Is wifi official in room? if so has anyone tried to stream NetFlix? Was it OK? Yes it's official, but I've no idea whether it will be consistently fast enough for video streaming.

Is wired internet connection free now also? No. I think it is still available, but charged.
