Wifi/Internet at Disney hotels

Thinking of a trip to Disney this winter. Husband will want/need to work a couple of days while I go to the parks. (He normally works from home but can work anywhere as long as he has good internet.) Is the wifi/internet good at any of the Disney hotels? We're usually value stayers so we'd probably be at the All Stars.

It is better than it was, but can still be spotty at times at any of the resorts. The lobby areas usually have pretty good WiFi so he could maybe go work somewhere there if the signal in your room isn’t ideal. It might be worth making a room request solely for strong WiFi signal, as the front desk may know which areas are better than others. I have stayed at all three AS resorts and don’t recall having any major long term issues while I was there, but I also travel with a hotspot for backup.

We couldn't get any signal in our first room at BLT - not even enough to run the MyDisney assistant. Apparently BLT is pretty well known for wifi issues because of the curved shape of the building. We didn't have issues at the Poly or AKL. I know they're deluxe hotels, but since we did specifically have a problem with wifi, I thought it was worth sharing our experience.

We ended up being moved to a room closer to the lobby and the signal was fine there. I agree with the previous suggestion that it might be worth putting in a room request specifically for this. Closer to the lobby is probably going to be better for wifi. Maybe follow up when you arrive. And if the signal is bad in your room, don't be afraid to request a room change if it's possible.

Definitely spotty for me and at times annoying. I end of using my phone as a Hot Spot and sometimes helps, sometimes not.
Happened numerous times at Boardwalk Villa & Bay Lake.
I always complain when I get a questionnaire.

I have never had issue in the hotel sometimes it's spotty at the parks.

It should be good for the need. I haven’t had any issues with the connection when I was within the resort areas.

BLT is really the only resort where we have had issues as well.
