 love the new do... Lori do you take your pics raw?

Wooo Hoooo MULLET head is gone! :rotfl: Just teasing you Lori.
Ella looks adorable. I love the new cut. You are right, it is not worth the daily battle! And it's just hair it will grow.
Hope you had a nice weekend. Thanks for the pic, I uploaded it to my newsletter!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I know we did. AND I lost 5 pounds last week. Goooo Tia!
Busy week this week, including jury duty. UGH! But that's ok. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Ok, I need to go get ready. I have to leave soon to go watch my friend's kids and then we have work to do.

Talk to you all later!

When I do my portraits I do shoot in RAW. Otherwise I just do custom white balance and shoot in manual. When shooting in manual I overexpose just a bit to get the bright colors to stand out a bit like they do.

Yes - no more crazy hair !! She likes and I like it and I guess that's all that matters ! Glad you were able to get the picture. Make sure to send me the newsletter - I wanna see it too !!

Hooray on the 5lbs !! :rotfl2: It's that time of month for me so I am sure I have gained them for you

Have fun at jury duty this week !

I think I'm going to save up some money for a camera and then fly out to Denver for a photo lesson.

Rebecca -
What kind of camera do you have right now ? Truthfully - it isn't so much the camera as much as it is how you work the camera. Learn to shoot in manual and that makes a huge diffrence.
I have a point and shoot too for when I feel like being lazy and just hitting a button. Sometimes I don't want to have to be "thinking" about my settings all the time !!

Howdy everyone

How goes it?? Been in a craft haze this weekend! haha :) Just sorting and working and stuff. Seems like everyone has been busy here too!

Nicole, thought of you when i made these:

Hope you all are having a happy monday!!

Ok, I will. I need to add you to my contact list. For whatever reason the e-mail address I recently added are not showing up. I am hoping I can send it to other contacts as well that I may get throughout the month.
Well after all that medical craziness that happened while in CO, I am now losing that silly weight and I hope to be able to keep up the trend.
Hopefully they will settle before it goes to court. I can call in 10 minutes to find out.

Your so funny. I took a class but really I am self taught. I learned it all from the internet, reading and just screwing up thousands of really bad pictures !
When outside shade is your very best friend, harsh outdoor lighting is BAD ! Never be afraid to get too close to your subject.
When I took my SIL to California she wasn't used to people taking pictures of her. I told her straight up the day we got on the place : Just to forewarn you - you are going to feel like this camera is up your &^% at all times. Just get used to it" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Many point and shoot cameras now have the option to shoot in manual - try it out after you read up on it.
Also look at people's eye's - anywhere tomorrow at work, in the grocery store, on TV - wherever. See the light in their eyes ? The reflections of their surroundings ? When taking a portrait of a person you want that light in the eye. They are called "catchlights". Otherwise their eyes dont' light up and are dark and dead ?
Did that little mini lesson help at all ?! :confused3

Wow, how much do I owe you?:goodvibes

 we have to plan our vacations ahead of time, so we know what kind of money we want to save and all that jazz :) Not to mention 09 is our VR year, so we will be pretty much re-doing our wedding/honeymoon again with 3 kids tagging along :faint:

Then for next year we have a full plate with my cousin turning 15 in Mexico and the huuuge party that follows, so we knew we were doing that in 08 in July :) So that left us with little space to squeeze in Disney, so November it is! :woohoo: It's pretty easy for us to plan that far ahead because we only like certain months in THE WORLD, so it limits our vacation time :)
