Ella looks adorable. I love the new cut. You are right, it is not worth the daily battle! And it's just hair it will grow.
Hope you had a nice weekend. Thanks for the pic, I uploaded it to my newsletter!
Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I know we did. AND I lost 5 pounds last week. Goooo Tia!
Busy week this week, including jury duty. UGH! But that's ok. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Ok, I need to go get ready. I have to leave soon to go watch my friend's kids and then we have work to do.
Talk to you all later!
When I do my portraits I do shoot in RAW. Otherwise I just do custom white balance and shoot in manual. When shooting in manual I overexpose just a bit to get the bright colors to stand out a bit like they do.
Yes - no more crazy hair !! She likes and I like it and I guess that's all that matters ! Glad you were able to get the picture. Make sure to send me the newsletter - I wanna see it too !!
Hooray on the 5lbs !!It's that time of month for me so I am sure I have gained them for you

Have fun at jury duty this week !
Rebecca -
What kind of camera do you have right now ? Truthfully - it isn't so much the camera as much as it is how you work the camera. Learn to shoot in manual and that makes a huge diffrence.
I have a point and shoot too for when I feel like being lazy and just hitting a button. Sometimes I don't want to have to be "thinking" about my settings all the time !!
Howdy everyone
How goes it?? Been in a craft haze this weekend! hahaJust sorting and working and stuff. Seems like everyone has been busy here too!
Nicole, thought of you when i made these:

Chris... I know you are in vaca.. about 150 miles away from me.. about 2 hours drive and 2 tankful of gas... but I just want to let you know.. I am still sad about the thought of not seeing you and the kids in Sept at the parks...I hope you are having a wonderful time...
I just woke up... went to the bathroom brush my teeth... etc..etc..etc.. and now making coffee and sitting infront of PC so I have to come back for this lesson when I finish my coffee... coz right now it is like taking history class in college 1st thing in the morning...Timmy -
Your so funny. I took a class but really I am self taught. I learned it all from the internet, reading and just screwing up thousands of really bad pictures !
When outside shade is your very best friend, harsh outdoor lighting is BAD ! Never be afraid to get too close to your subject.
When I took my SIL to California she wasn't used to people taking pictures of her. I told her straight up the day we got on the place : Just to forewarn you - you are going to feel like this camera is up your &^% at all times. Just get used to it"![]()

Many point and shoot cameras now have the option to shoot in manual - try it out after you read up on it.
Also look at people's eye's - anywhere tomorrow at work, in the grocery store, on TV - wherever. See the light in their eyes ? The reflections of their surroundings ? When taking a portrait of a person you want that light in the eye. They are called "catchlights". Otherwise their eyes dont' light up and are dark and dead ?
Did that little mini lesson help at all ?!![]()
Blahhh!!! I feel nauseous today! I wish it wasn't too early to reach in there and take this little guy out! I'm feeling soo yucky and we have the library on our schedule today.
