What the heck are you guys talking about??? Actually there are several different threads going on witch mention the same thing and talk all about what the big seceret / big project might be. Someone please tell me what they are talking about , i feel so lost!!

All I know is that Ty Pennington posted on the boards saying that there was a big surprise coming up. The theme parks thread one said "GOOD MORNING THEME PARK ATTRACTION FAMILY!". So if this were an actual contest or whatever, then maybe they would pick one group as winners (?).

HI all Happy (late) Halloween! We had a great time! Gracie was Princess Jasmine (again! someone please telll that girl she can be something else) and Casey was Capt Jack. I started a new Halloween tradition myself....Mike & I went with the girls & brought the wagon, with a cooler full or beer & wine coolers! We drank, handed them out fo friend we saw walking with their kids, gave em to the home owners when they gave our kids candy! We had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMazingly I wasn't that cold either!!!

Alright - Im reading this thread posted by TY.

Now I know from booking in January that apparently THAT weekend (Jan 25-28) will be the weekend that is "given away" as a prize for a Good Morning America give away...night in the castle too.

So, Mr Ty does work for ABC, too. And they always send people to WDW on that show of his.

So - what do you guys think? Real, or no? And who is in the lead??

I don't know what we will do. We visited the parents and IL's alot when DD was little, but not as much anymore. Also, after DD is in school all week, I like to let her play, play, play. I want to tell her about WDW soooo bad, but I want to keep it a surprise too.

My parents are gone, so I only have to deal with my IL's. They used to be pretty pushy about getting together "every" weekend and called "every" day to check on the kids. Drove us crazy!! Before we could put our foot down they backed off "some" on their own. Hopefully it will get easier for you DMM.

This weekend Joe my 4 yo has a flag football game. Nothing like a cool fall morning watching your child run the wrong way Speaking of the IL's, they are coming to the game and taking both kids overnight! The kids have always shared a room, their choice, but now Joe wants his own space so we are going to work on getting his old bedroom reorganized this weekend as well. He want it done in CARS.

Im just super happy with my time zone I got too, I was willing to pay more ($406 for 2)

BUT - I arrrive in Orlando at 9.45am and leave at 7.45pm!

Sometimes I think parents and IL's try to 'push it' just to see how far we will let them go. I wonder what would happen if we never put our foot down. It is just kind of funny. They would love to take over for us (no way) because they still see US as kids, but we have a better house, better lives, better vacations , and DH makes way more than my dad or his dad did when they were our age (with a child). And as a SAHM supermom I know I kick @$%# is my dept.! I do understand that it is just because things were different then, and they did not appreciate parenting as much as we do now. I think they forgot to enjoy it while they had it.

So how is all the Christmas shopping going? DD was told by another child that 'the big S' is not real. I about freaked. I think I cleaned it up okay though. The nerve. DD is really into questioning "is this real/is that real", like with cartoons and such. Anyway, all shopping is done except for parents and IL's (gift cards). It is unfair on my DH's side b/c we have 5 nieces to get for and they only have to get for our 1. Bummer of a deal for us.

That stinks about the 'S' Julsmom!! and i totally understand that our parents didn't enjoy parent hood when it was their turn.

My MIL was divorced, so trying hard
My FIL doesn't care now and didn't then
My dad and mom were finishing college so working DOUBLY hard

AND THEN my grandparents took care of us alllllll the time and i think that's what they think should happen now....

But we LOVe our time together as a foursome, we're happy and it's just a PAIN to get all geared up to sit in someones living room that is no where near child proofed with 2 kids under 2!! hahah?!!!

The arrival time on the Southwest Tix is 847 (why don't they round that time???? that's just nuts! haha) and the Departure out of Orlando is 945pm. I think it's a bit late for us, so i am calling to see what the chances are if we can get to the airport a bit earlier since the 807 is sold out right now....who knows

With the ILs and Parents, i hope it gets better, i think a lot also stems from the fac thtat they think we're still kids ourselves and to them it's babies with babies KWIM?? it's crazy!! sooo they think they can still tell us what to do
