For the FP+....when you log into your acct, does a box pop up inviting you to try it? I just went into my acct under MDE and it gave me no indication if I was one of the chosen....

I spoke to someone today and they said if you were able to order a band and make selections you were chosen to test. There may or may not be a popup for the band. There probably won't be for being able to make FP+ selections.

Did any of you three lucky Pop-goers get the $15/night credit?

We are in Pop now- checked in Saturday. We have a non-working fridge. I am getting the $15/night credit- I did have to ask for it, but they gave it to me with no problems. They knew I did not have a medical need- did not seem to matter.

BTW- we are really enjoying Pop!

Thanks for the info! I hope you are having a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I did online check in tonight. 60 more days for us! Almost 59. :goodvibes

Is it bad that I'm kinda hoping I DON'T have a working fridge? We only use it to put a few bottles of wine in it, some leftovers that almost never get eaten, and a tub of cream cheese for bagels in the morning. I'll happily stick my cream cheese in a cooler with ice for a $135 credit that'll pay for both my MNSSHP tickets :goodvibes

Well now I'm hoping and wishing we don't have a working fridge, I'd be getting $195 back! Lol That's huge. That would pay for my MNSSHP tickets man! This is awesome to know!

If you can make FP+ selections then you're in the test. You do have to have park tickets in your package though or link the park ticket number if you purchased them separately or have an annual pass from what I understand.

For those getting the fridge credit is it showing up everyday on your bill or is it showing up as a credit at the end of your trip?

I called the IT dept and asked them about this. I was told that even though I can see and choose fast pass+ on my DME I was not chosen for the test. But I have gone in and played around with it I notices that the days I have TS reservations it will only allow me to choose from that park. That would not work for us. Example , we have a MK day scheduled but will have dinner that evening at Epcot. It will only let me choose FS+ from Epcot even though our reservations aren't until 7:45. Also there is nowhere for us to choose the magic bands so I am thinking IT dept is right ? So confuses:(

I can't see Disney opening up the MDE website for FP+ and allowing people to schedule Fastpasses on-line only to show up for their vacation and not be able to use them. That would be a big customer service fail.

Exactly and I said those exact words to the CM I spoke to in the IT dept. I had called because 2 of our ADR were not showing up on DME, and while on the phone with her I asked about the FP+ and that is what I was told. I said wow, what a shock it would have been for me if I scheduled FP+ for Epcot on arrival day when we have BOG ADR that evening only to find out that the FP+ wouldn't work. Ever since that conversation last week I have been playing around with FP+. Still can't change the park to get FP+ if I have ADR at another park though.

If you click on the FP+ link, you'll be able to make selections if you're eligible. That's the quickest way to know.

You'll also see a link that says "Personalize Magicbands". You may have to do online check-in (or redo online check-in) in order to see the personalize link.

I've found that a few things vary on MDE depending on which browser you're using.

Ok...thank you :) I can't do online cgeck in until next week. I'm not even sure I'd do it even if I was one if the chosen. I don't want that much planning involved in our trip. Can you use them like a regular FP....just walk up to the ride and scan it for a come back time?

I don't think I could do that. Ill check again after I do online check in next week. I'm still up in the air about using it even if I am chosen.

We booked an entire pkg so we should be good.

I never received an email about taking part in the test, but I received an email saying my magic bands have shipped.:cool1:

To do regular FP you use your KTTW card. How many days out are you? Most people are scheduling FP+ and designing magic bands at about 20-30 days out. They are getting official word about test participation at 17 days out.

No - FP+ can only be scheduled ahead of time (3 per day - 1 park only), or sometimes on the same day (using the MDE website, app, or an in-park kiosk) but there's a chance certain rides won't be available to reserve a new FP+ on that same day. (Some attractions may sell out of FP+ in advance of the day, but you're still eligible for regular FP and standby lines either way).

You really have nothing to lose by getting the bands (in fact, they might even be giving them to everyone at check-in at some point anyway). You would also get a regular KTTW card at check-in, that card will make your stay just like everyone else's. Reserving your 3 FP+ per day is really just an added bonus, since you can still use regular FP anyway.

So basically there's no disadvantage to getting a Magicband or applying for FP+. If it ever becomes too much work or you have issues, you can just use your KTTW card and do all the same old activities (like getting FP).

34 DAAAAAAAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... yeah I might be more excited than our kids. Looking forward to free dining, now if I could just do it without gaining 20 lbs in the two weeks, it would be great. Flights changed, so now we are not getting the rental van, really hoping the buses are really that much better than ASM, especially at night after the fireworks. That was horrible last year with our 4 little ones.(2 of them were crying for almost an hour straight, other 2 asleep on the concrete, 2 hour long wait to get on a bus).

Ordered 2 cases of Nestlé purified water (Poland Springs is currently sold out) from Staples.com last night and its already on the truck out for delivery to POP!

Way to go Staples free delivery! I'm impressed!
