Returned from our first POP trip last week and I can't wait to go back. It was our first time staying on-site and POP delivered. The rooms were clean, the CM's were friendly and helpful and the pools were great. We stayed in the 50's section Building 1. It was right in front of the 50's pool and a 3 minute walk to dining and the main pool. My only complaint was that the options at the food court weren't that great and the place was a mess. The soda machines especially. Not enough to deter me from coming back though, we really loved it. No working fridge in our room but we picked up a cooler from Walmart and had no problem getting ice from the ice machine.

The Magic Bands were awesome. No glitches or issues at all. We were able to switch rearrange and reschedule FP's while at the park.

Ordered 2 cases of Nestlé purified water (Poland Springs is currently sold out) from Staples.com last night and its already on the truck out for delivery to POP!

Way to go Staples free delivery! I'm impressed!

How much was the shipping on that?

We were going to do the whole grocery delivery but my wife said lets just splurge this time and eat out all the thime.

I still wanted water, love the bottled water, so this will save money!!!

I just received in the mail a letter letting us know we won't have a fridge in our room do to a problem with the two models of fridges that they have at the hotels. we are do to check in next friday the 30th of Aug. I did call Pop and asked for a fridge for medicine and was told we will get one. but now this kinda has me a bit confused. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when we check in next friday:)

They have the cube or dorm style fridges (that actually have a freezer section) that you will be given in your room. It will be a free standing unit and not in 'the usual spot' where the currently nonworking fridge will still probably be. Don't worry...only thing you may have to do is call the front desk and remind them you had one on your reservation for medical needs because it probably won't be in your room when you arrive to the room, but they deliver them pretty fast!!! Enjoy!!

To do regular FP you use your KTTW card. How many days out are you? Most people are scheduling FP+ and designing magic bands at about 20-30 days out. They are getting official word about test participation at 17 days out.

I'm at 66 days....and counting :) I figured I was early yet.

No - FP+ can only be scheduled ahead of time (3 per day - 1 park only), or sometimes on the same day (using the MDE website, app, or an in-park kiosk) but there's a chance certain rides won't be available to reserve a new FP+ on that same day. (Some attractions may sell out of FP+ in advance of the day, but you're still eligible for regular FP and standby lines either way).

You really have nothing to lose by getting the bands (in fact, they might even be giving them to everyone at check-in at some point anyway). You would also get a regular KTTW card at check-in, that card will make your stay just like everyone else's. Reserving your 3 FP+ per day is really just an added bonus, since you can still use regular FP anyway.

So basically there's no disadvantage to getting a Magicband or applying for FP+. If it ever becomes too much work or you have issues, you can just use your KTTW card and do all the same old activities (like getting FP).

Ok good....I have no idea what parks on what day we're going to be doing. We're going to get up in the morning and see where we feel like going that day. I'm not planning ahead for anything. Thats the only reason I'd rather stick to the KTTW card instead of the band.

For those getting the fridge credit is it showing up everyday on your bill or is it showing up as a credit at the end of your trip?

At first they put a credit on my Magicband, then because of Magicband issues they gave me cash.

I am at Pop now and there are no RFID mugs. The mugs are the same old mugs from the past few years.

Yes, I just bought my mug here at pop and it is regular. They wouldn't even know how long my stay was- I am not on ddp and they did not ask about my stay.
