We will be at POP September 25-30! There will be 11 of us total and I am officially psyched. We had been planning on going in Dec and staying at CBR, but changed plans midstream and now we are headed to POP! We will be surprising our two oldest right before we leave (thinking the baby would not understand).
Thanks to everyone for all the great info on POP. Only problem now is W A I T I N G!!!
Is it even possible!!??!!:bitelip:

Hi, Shrimpandgrits! Welcome to the Dis!

Hey, all, new question came up -- the friend I'm traveling with is a coffee lover (I am not). I read about the Starbucks coming to WDW, but since we're traveling in less than two weeks :cool1::cool1::cool1:, that won't be an option. I know there have been fridge (unnecessary now) and coffeemaker swap threads, but I haven't been able to find one -- can anyone point me in the right direction? (She said her last choice is to bring the Starbucks instant packets.)

We love Pop and have stayed over the years at many resorts (WL, CS, AKL, ASM, ASSports, POFQ, CB) but truthfully Pop is one of our favorites. We leave in 10 days for Pop with my daughter and her college room mate. The room mate has never been to Disney. I also am going in Sept with my friend who has never been to Disney. Love everything about Pop except the bus kiosks being last everywhere. We always get preferred rooms. Our last trip to Pop was Sept 2011. That was my son and I. My son is now a cast member working in security.
Can't wait to return soon!

I asked this a while ago on another board but never got the answer, so I thought I would ask here.

Does anyone know if we can get the 2 large pizza, 4 dessert and 4 drinks meal(combo) at the pick up window using 3 adult CS and 1 child CS credits:confused3

Thanks:)

One week from today we arrive at the POP for 11 wonderful nights:cloud9:

No, sorry you can't work at CRO .... you'd just change everyones reservations .... you couldn't help yourself .... it's in your nature!!!!
:rotfl:
:cool1: An appetizing job, but disastrous to my waistline!! :goodvibes (Luckily Pas YOU would have nothing to worry about!) :)
We will TWIST off the calories...no worries

Agree that Disney should recruit from the DIS.
:goodvibes

My CM job would be the official Pole Damcing Pole Tester:rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Ok, save me from looking stupid...

Is the tye dye cheesecake a dessert on the dining plan for CS at Pop?

Another Pop lover here as Christine ( Minne& Nana) knows !! Your 2 blessings are heartwarming !!You will love the Food Court too !!The variety is awesome !!Every morning around 8a.m the CMS get out in the middle of the court and do the TWIST, it's fun and you get a button!!They have a kids parade later in the day/evening too which is cute and then ther;s pool games and of course the eveing Movie !!!
Adding my welcome to the Dis !!!I've been around a few years now but I still remember how these boards helped me when I first joined !!!:dance3:

Thank you englishrose47. DS is very spirited and is a livewire. We'll need some fun things to do while at the resort to burn up some that energy.

Ears2ya2 -- congrats on the babies! The same thing happened my brother and his wife -- miracles! This trip will be so special for you!

Thank you for the congrats erincon23.

Hoping for pixie dust for you that you are granted your King request as the added flloor room for those pack n plays would be terrific! Call Disney reservations at 407-939-7622 and add the room requests (not the direct POP line) - and remember, to put your requests in order of importance (King, lake view, etc.).

Thanks Janet B for the pixie dust and the phone number. I'll call as soon as I can catch a break from the little ones.

Ears2ya2 - congratulations on your Miracle babies. God has certainly blessed your family.

Thank you Cinerella's slipper for the congrats and yes, He certainly has!

Good idea!!! Just having a quiet place for the little ones to play, rock in your lap, color....there are high chairs REAL changing tables...I have spent hours there...one year we were at AKL and my DS (15 mo. or so) decided to start teething, running a fever. I stopped in. Got some Motrin, rocked him in the rocking chair, and sat watching mickey cartoons while he napped in my arms. The CM stayed and chatted with me. Very cozy!

That was very nice of the CM. Sounds like the Baby Care Centers would be a nice place to take a break for me & DW. I can't wait..:yay:

Hi all - staying at POP for the first time August 9-17! We are a family of 5, so we have two adjoining rooms. Found out this weekend at Hershey that my 3-year-old falls off a bed without bedrails. Can you request them at POP so nobody has to sleep with him all week????

Wanted to bumb up your question so it doesn't get lost in the many responses. Sadly, I don't know the answer because we never need to order that much, but perhaps someone with a family might know. Fingers crossed for you!

11 nights is fabulous!:cool1: What fun you're going to have! Safe travels and do stop by when you get back and let know how those credits worked out? Thanks!:goodvibes

I'm sure that I saw somewhere in these 50 pages that you can request bedrails. But if I'm wrong our thread hostesses will let you know.

:welcome:

First and foremost, you want to be sure to request connecting rooms and be sure your reservations are linked. In Disney terms an adjoining room might not even be on the same floor - supposed to be nearby, but it doesn't always happen that way.

Do call Disney reservations, explain you are family of 5 with small children and need connecting rooms. Also, ask them to add a request for bed rails and go over these things again at check-in. If for some reason you've not been assigned connecting rooms, the CM will find it and hopefully in the location you'd prefer. If the CM is not helpful, ask for a Front Desk supervisor or manager - but I doubt you'll have a problem at all.:thumbsup2

If the bed rails do not arrive at your room within an hour, just call the housekeeping button on the room phone and ask them to have the bed rails sent up asap. You'll likely get the rails sooner that way! ::yes::

Safe travels and have a great trip!!:goodvibes

I do have connecting rooms - my TA said as long as I have more kids than adults, I'm guaranteed connecting rooms. Do the bed rails cost anything extra? After the hotel night where Zach fell out of bed twice, I just want to be sure of some good nights of sleep!!

No charge for bedrails - be sure to have your TA ask for as many as you need....for both sides of bed and end, if that's what you'll need.

I am glad you have connecting rooms - I only mentioned it because your post said "adjoining" and would not want your family to arrive and have adjoining rather than connecting.:thumbsup2

Happy travels!:goodvibes

I'll be booking our 2 connecting rooms soon at POP & was told the same thing, more kids than adults = guarenteed connecting. But, I did want to ask you, I've gotten varying answers on this.....Do you have 2 room reservations & did you have to pay 2 seperate $200 deposits or only 1? This is our first time as 6, so we're doing the 2 value rooms instead of POR this trip.

Hope you guys have a magical, awesome trip!

I have gotten to the point I hate talking to the CMs on the phone, lol. I was told that the 1st time I asked, then something different. :lmao:

I only paid a $200 deposit for the two rooms. I believe they're the same reservation. I had gotten a Pin for our vacation - free QS dining, and the dates worked out so much better for us than the normal free dining dates, so we went for it. We had to book preferred rooms, but with a 3 year old I wasn't upset about that. I'm just excited to go back to Disney!!!

Thank you! That seems to be the answer I get from most on here. Now, why can't the phone CMs at CRO get that, lol.

You'll have a great trip! :wizard:

Now, I have to connecting rooms with 2 separate reservation numbers and I was required to pay two $200 deposits, one for each room. Not sure what would make my situation different than yours. I booked ours in March.
