POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

whats the number of single females or people like yourself who might wanna go to the parks with me one day or have me come along to the parks?

:grouphug: Morning all

Becky - how awful for your friends. I'm sure it was worse for Steve's son, waiting and now knowing. I hope he's ok.

Kelli - prayers & pixie dust to you too:wizard:

We're really getting close! I can't believe I haven't told my girls yet...they're gonna flip! Last year was magic enough. We had always gone to WDW every 2-3 years. Then we went in 2005, and I surprised them in 2006, then we went for 2 days in March 2007...so to have another 2007 trip...HAHAH I can't wait to see the look on their faces! Now I just can't wait for school to start so I can start packing our stuff!!!!! Gotta do that secretly!

I havent told my dd either - so now I'm slowly nudging her about getting on a plane and coming with me!! :rolleyes1

demand that they pay the difference in a flight change

Absolutely - they have that power - you can also check online to see what flight would be better!! They should also sned a gift to her room- wdwflorist - or that AAA agency will lose lots of business - bad press and all!!

i'll be glowing on the 22nd too.

WELCOME!!

and sorry, I only have imaginary friends - I do hope to meet them on the 22nd... I dont think I know any single friends coming to disney... I guess we're not good at match.com - ing....

I forget, when should we expect our vouchers? We arrive at WDW 9/16.

I did get my personalized maps the other day. Very nice!

I'm arriving 2 days before you and I received my vouchers this past Mon., so you should have them by now. I also received my welcome letter about 2 weeks ago.

Most of us are married on this thread...did you check out the singles thread like a couple people have suggested?:confused3

I agree with Farah, maybe the Singles board is a good place for you. Quite frankly, you are beginning to creep me out. I don't think its appropriate to be trolling for dates here.

OK, I listen (read) this board everyday - I feel like I know all of you but never know what to post. We have just 30 days, I'm soooo excited! Thought I would try to insert a pic by my name so you can recognize me too. Hope it works!

I've been stopping by the dollar store a lot to by more glow sticks. I think the lady at the counter wants to know what I do with them all. I get them home and always think I need more....maybe I should just start packing. :yay:

Hey it worked! This is me, my DD, and chip. He is my Mom's favorite.

Keli - We think of you everyday, waiting for good results

LorilieMarie - I know what you mean. I read what everyone writes periodically, but a lot of times I feel stumped as to what I can say that is not meaningless blabbering.

Kellie - Keeping you in my thoughts, sending  & pixiedust:

Becky - I'm so sorry to hear about your friends! That is so terrible.

Pooch - I agree with Linda, you had me scared on that first line there! I don't know what I would expect the TA to do, but I hope it works out for your friend!

On the shorts/swimsuit discussion... I don't consider myself skinny by any means, but I do realize that because I'm tall I carry my weight better than some people. I wear shorts and swimsuits and will not apologize! In the last couple of years I have come to realize that my body is what it is and hiding it won't change it. I also wore tank tops w/ the built in shelf bra last time we went to Disney. I don't really wear them around here, but I plan to get some new ones for our trip. I have lost just enough since last trip that they are too small now :confused3 go figure.

Well, Today DH & I spent the entire day cleaning and prepping food for a party that I was having. I invited a bunch of my current and former coworkers. Most of the people live about 45 minutes away, but had been asking when I was gonna have a get together at my new house (I've been moved in for over 5 months now). So I invited at least 20 people and maybe 10 let me know that they would not be able to attend. Two of the girls in my current office said they would definitely come. I was told last week by one of the girls who lives farther away that a group were gonna carpool and come.

Well, to make a long story short, my 2 current coworkers were the only people who showed up. We had a really nice time, but I was still a tad bit disappointed.

So, anyway, my house is super clean now! That is a good thing :thumbsup2

I feel like I'm so much farther behind at my Disney planning than all you guys! and I can't really start planning in earnest yet, cause I've gotta get through DragonCon first.

Just wait, come Sept. 4th I'm gonna be a Planning Machine!!

Have a great weekend guys!!

Foxfiregrrl, I am so sorry that you worked so hard and got so little respect for what you attempted to do for your coworkers, former and current. I know the feeling. Good for you in getting the house all cleaned up before your trip though. I often plan parties for just that reason.
meaningless blabbering.
Gee, that is all I know how to do and frankly I enjoy it when others do so too cause that means there is nothing really bad going on in their lives and that is the way I like it!:cool1:

LorilieMarie, great pic. It is always nice to be able to match a face with a name. The faces I picture with the names in my mind are never accurate. I need to post a pic of me too but I do not want to scare small children. :scared1:

eeyore45, imaginary friends are nice. They always do what you want UNLESS you have a personality problem like me and then they do like they darn well please.

lovemickeyshouse, I most sincerely hope that you are either a very young man who has no clue or a very ornery person who is just having us on. It is disturbing, your postings. If you sincerely want to meet someone because you are lonely you are NOT apt to meet them in the way that you are going about it and if you do you are not likely to meet anyone of substance. (might be your intent?) How about this? "Hello, my name is (insert first name). I love Disney World and will be there from (insert dates) to and would love to meet someone to enjoy the sights with. Might anyone be interested in meeting up with me to share a meal and get to know each other a bit better? I am (age) and do (whatever) for a living. My hobbies are (???). By being so obviously interested in a superficial relationship and so very desperate you are greatly decreasing your chances for happiness. I would go to the parks, smile, be nice and strike up conversations, taking an interest in the other person and whatever you do I would NOT mention the screen name that you have been using. :scared1: The folks with really bad intentions are usually far sneakier than you are being so I am talking to you as I would my grandson. (from a woman who has seen more than a bit of the world at its worst)

Slightly Goofy

I am just afraid to go 1000 miles from home and know not a soul thats the truth thanks for the advice

I've been checking in on this thread for a few months now and I think that it is really cool that you all are planning a Glow Party. I guess that it is time to add us to the list. DW(37):tink:, DD(3)::MinnieMo , and I(36):smickey: will be at Pop Sept. 22-30. We are looking forward to meeting some of you fine folks and hopefully there will be plenty of little ones for our little one to play with.

lovemickeyshouse, now that is a statement from the heart that just might make some single DISer interested in getting to know you. How about going over to the singles thread and telling a bit about yourself? Good luck and remember at Disney World there are no such thing as strangers but it is still a good idea to stay in public places when meeting people for the first time.

Life is full of new experiences. Go with the flow you just never know what will happen. Be yourself, the best one you can be, and be open to whatever life brings!!:cheer2:

Finally got my vouchers yesterday. Whew. One more milestone toward going to WDW!!!

My daughter is 4 years old and loves to play with other children :)
There's a lot of us with kids here so hopefully we'll get a chance to meet and the kids can make some new friends too!

Thanks Jenni! Hopefully by the end of this coming week everything will be back to normal. The truck still needs 2 more parts. Matt is talking about buying a new car, which really puts pressure on the budget! We'll see what happens.

Hows the planning going?

Alicia,

I'm so glad to hear things are getting back to normal for your family! Finances can be tight anyways and then to have an unexpected event like that just throws you for a loop.

Thanks for asking..The planning is going good. I finally finished Madison's countdown calendar and she'll be able to start on that Wednesday when we get to our 30 day mark and now I'm working on trying to buy some stuff for Ava's "Tink" gifts since everything I've bought so far is for her big sister :guilty: The time seems to be flying by now! I've been wanting to do this for (nearly) 32 years now and I still can't believe how close I am to finally realizing this dream :cloud9: Sappy, I know... but I'm sooo excited about this trip :yay: :yay: :yay:
