About the shorts thing. For the past year or so I've pretty much refused to wear shorts until this summer. I realized I was going to Disney World where it'd be scorching and there was no way I was going to wear capris in that weather. So now, I'm pretty much fine with wearing shorts as long as they're not too short.

Swimsuits are another story all together, I know I'm going to be really self-concious while wearing it.

Work has been keeping me away from the Dis all day....but I've got to pay off the trip somehow. But I did get mail today...my daughter's minnie tutu skirt and cinderella twirl skirt finally came today I paid for them at the end of June so I'm just for joy that they're finally here.

Up until recently I didn't even own a pair of shorts...now I have a couple of pairs to wear to Disney but they're long to my knees. As per that other conversation about swimsuits waay back....no swimsuit for me Hopefully the kids will be happy with the pop jets and kiddie pool so I won't have to worry about it too much!

Well...I get the feeling I'm talking to myself again so I guess I'll stop

Hey all!
Had my ds's soccer meeting this morning. Had to tell the coach that we'll be missing TWO games for a "family reunion trip."
Well, it's true. I didn't want to elaborate on the fact it was WDW, because it can sound a little braggy. Sigh.

I forget, when should we expect our vouchers? We arrive at WDW 9/16.

I did get my personalized maps the other day. Very nice!

My inlaws and mom got some sort of welcome package a few weeks ago, and I thought it was because they paid earlier, but I still haven't gotten anything like that, and I don't think SIL did either, and we've both been paid in full for weeks now. Hmmmm....

I told my mom to hold on to every scrap of paper WDW sends, because I don't want her to accidently throw away her vouchers!

I've been switching between several Disney music stations on live 365 all morning. Really helping my Disney mood. DD is working on CLEANING and organizing her room, but when she gets tired of that and needs a break she's going to keep an eye on the baby so I can check things off my packing list.
I keep snatching appropriate clothes from the laundry so that my kid's won't miss them and I can pack now and see what we might be lacking. I'm crazy, I know.
My SIL says she's packing the night before we leave, and she's going to call me and ask me then what she needs.

I think she's just kidding. I hope.

I finally found a green magnetic write on board for our door .. I need to stop buying stuff because if you read my trip report you'd have seen I already have a room full of stuff to try to fit in my suitcases lol.

I'm giving myself 2 more weeks before I'm allowed to pack everything I gathered. I'm hoping to get my final documents in the mail this week

Today we're off to the park for my middle one's 6th birthday party .. that's distracting me a bit. Then I have her family party the next weekend, Labor Day/packing weekend and then one more weekend before we leave! It's getting so close!!!

We're really getting close! I can't believe I haven't told my girls yet...they're gonna flip! Last year was magic enough. We had always gone to WDW every 2-3 years. Then we went in 2005, and I surprised them in 2006, then we went for 2 days in March 2007...so to have another 2007 trip...HAHAH I can't wait to see the look on their faces! Now I just can't wait for school to start so I can start packing our stuff!!!!! Gotta do that secretly!

DisneyMom5, I just accidentally erased all your PM's. I was trying to figure out how to put them in a folder and messed up. Darn it!! I should have started out with some old messages just in case. I pack the day before but then there are only the two of us and I hang outfits together on hangers everyday so I only have to take out enough outfits, fold them in half. The bathroom bag and medicine bags are already done. I have a dedicated Disney bag with all my Disney stuff. Have bag will travel!!

BabyPiglet, I will be easy to spot as I will be the large lady that looks like she is wearing nurse's white stockings with her shorts and scared to death of bending over. I have seen what you can see when folks lean over. I do not like to show off my 'assets'.

time is flying now. I'm scared to admit I'm beginning to count how many days til the trip is OVER! Gotta stop thinking that way. I've gotten my ME tags in the mail and I so want to take out the suitcase. But the family would go nuts. I have been putting things in the carryon in the closet. Packing will be easy though, since it's just DD & me.

On another topic, my DH met a woman several months ago. He's a truck driver & periodically has to go get drug-tested & she works at the clinic. She told him she was going to WDW & he suggested she call me (see, he really does appreciate me!) I've been helping her get free dining, make ADRs, stuff like that. Anyway, she called me last night in tears! She used a AAA travel agent and the woman hasn't been real helpful. They're leaving on Friday and the woman never told her that their return flight on Delta (!) has been changed from 7PM to 11AM effectively cutting off almost a full day. The TA knew back in mid-July & never called her!! Joanne was beside herself. I told her not to let it ruin her family's vacation. The TA's supervisor is supposed to call on Monday but she's already saying there's nothing they can do. In my estimation, the TA created the problem by not notifying Joanne of the change back in July when she had time to decide what if anything to do about it. What would you want from AAA? I'm thinking a gift card they can use on the trip or a rebate of some kind. Any ideas?

pooch, you done scared me there for a minute. I plumb forgot that we were all Disney lovers around here and not as prone as 'normal' folk are to indescretions and such.

Only a Disney loving husband would give his phone number to a lady for her to call his wife AND the wife would go beyond all normal bounds to help someone she had never even met.

I agree that she got the short end of the stick and should get something for her problems. Just another reason why I always make my own arrangements.

You are so nice to help this lady out. She even sounds as if she will appreciate it and listen to your advice. So many do not but they live to regret it, somewhere in the middle of a two hour wait in line.
