POP Before the Christmas Rush-Who's with me!?

We added on an extra night awhile back, so we'll now be there 11/29 - 12/4!

I picked up a dozen or so green mickey heads... maybe we could use red (or hot pink) as the other color which would be sort of like Christmas colors?

If everyone else is agreeable I'm willing to go with a red Mickey head or any other color. My Mom, who is going with us, just gave me a lime green MH with my user name on it. It was laminated and had a chain through it so I can hang it from my bag. She said she would make me whatever other color I need.

I promised myself that after all the time I spend on the DIS I was going to meet atleast one DISer while I am down there.

This time of year, yes it is pretty quiet. But for some reason, you can't find a room on site in a value or a moderate. I don't know about the deluxes or villas.

Speaking of tye dye..I have been told we need to try the tye dye cheesecake there at Pop....

I found a picture of it....pretty...or is it pretty scary?? LOL DH loves cheesecake so I may get him a slice.

Now I know the trip is getting close when I start thinking of food.

A tye-dye Mickey head would be cool but I don't think they have those at Home Depot! We need to make a decision pretty quick on which color we want. I know we are not all going to be there at the same time but for those who are going the end of Nov into Dec need to get their Mickey heads ready (That's assuming they want to and that we want to use one color to signify all of us here in the "Before Christmas Rush Thread").

I had it and was very DISappointed. Was not good. It looked cool, but lacked in flavor. Very dry. Could have been the piece I chose, but not worth trying again. for me.

I already started packing. And my 4 year old daughter and I made the 31 day countdown chain the other night. Every morning she wakes up now and pulls one off.

Someone sent me a file that has all the links preprinted and each one has a disney character on them with a number.

We just cut and taped. Easy peasy.

He is the "give it to Mikey, he'll eat anything" type.

I don't have a Home Depot near us, and my stock of Mickey heads from them is out, but I have my trusty Cricut machine and can make any color Mickey head we decide on.

My kids loved it. I'm not sure if it was more for the flavour or the fact it turned their mouths purple. You definately need a drink with it, it's very thick. Might I suggest the blue slushie-instant tye dye smile .

Sometimes we overlook the simpliest ways thinking it should be more difficult to do.

I have a tye die shirt I actually considered doing this too, but ditched it because the fabic was not sturdy. Never did I think to use paper

Hey Pikester, I'm from Vermont! We'll be there around the same time... maybe we'll see each other at the pool! My DD10 would love to have some buddies to pal around with...

How do I wear my mickey head? hanging from our purses? or do you actually wear it on you? I'm not big on wearing nametags, but if it meant meeting some of you, I would do it! ROFLLLL

We're a multiracial family (white parents, brown dd) so we'll stick out pretty easily, so if you see us, please say hi!

Maybe we could plan a big meet around the 10th... a lot of us will be there at that time... is there a way to connect like some place where everyone could sign in and leave notes how to meet up? It's so hard to know what we'll be doing ahead of time... but I'd love to meet all of you!
