POP Before the Christmas Rush-Who's with me!?

I just called and asked for the free dining in Dec and am on hold cause they are changing my ressie. I got the last 5 days with free dining.

So do y ou happen to know what the dates are for the free dining? I amy email our TA and see if we qualify. I doubt it though, we are there the 11-14.

Tim is recovering. Did I mention he had a rib removed last week for a biopsy?

He just said, the pain is still there but it's not as sharp when he moves.

I was on the phone for a while cause we had a lot of changes to make, but in the end we got the 14-19th. It's offered from the 14th-24th. I was told I got the last 2 rooms at POP. People change their ressies all the time , more rooms could become available when people upgrade to mods since they are saving the money.

yep, you filled us in on Tim in your other thread(mission impossible II). He has an appointment on the 18th right? Prayers and pixie dust for good results.

Well, no free dining for us, we will be gone by the time the dates are right...

Oh well...I am still excited...we're not to sure when we will get back to Disney, once this trip is over, its time to save to go see DD in Alaska.

We would love to do an Alaskan cruise, I may have DD check into that for us, maybe even a short one while we are there. They are stationed in Anchorage, so I am sure there is a ton of stuff to do. Funny thing is, after not seeing them for almost a year and a half(next summer) they are coming back for a wedding in early July, then we are probably going to see them in August. Then it will be another year before we see them again. LOL its all or nothing.

Looks like we have all our ADR's done. Now if we would just get a DING, I will be a happy camper...

The family we were traveling with had to cancel, so now its just the 3 of us going..

Wow! I haven't been on here in a while. I was just thinking about my upcoming December trip and wondered how my "December Buddies" were doing.

I can't believe how fast the time is flying! Before I know it, DH and I will be loading the kids and all our stuff into the van for the very long road trip to Disney.

We're still going, all though our group is down to just us 3. The other family we were going with had to cancel.

I booked our flight down, still waiting for a good DING to come home...wouldn't it be terrible if we had to stay..lol

We just got the best news...I found out yesterday I am going to be a GRANDMOM!!! DD in Alaska just told us. Grandparents...we are to young..lol

So after this trip I seriously have to save for airfare...

I'm Judy (52yo), my DH is ED (49) and our DD is 10 yo. We are at the Pop from 12/5 to 12/13. I can hardly wait! And I really hope we meet some of you at the pool... my DD loves to swim and is an only child coming alone so will really want to make some friends!

One problem... we didn't make a single ADR. We're doing this on a tight budget and figured we'd just eat counter service meals the whole time.

Now I hear there is a free dining plan going on in December? Is it possible to change our ressie to include that? And then if we did, would we be able to get any chance of any ADR's at all at this late stage???

Hello and Welcome!

From what I understand, the Free Dining is for Disney Visa card holders from 12/14-12/20. That means you have to book your trip on your Disney Visa card for those dates. If you do change your dates, I don't think that you will have a problem getting ADRs. You might not get the most popular restaurants (Le Cellier) or the main dining times (5 or 6 pm) but if you are willing to be flexible you shouldn't have a problem. Then again, I've never been during a Free Dining promo so maybe someone else can be more helpful.

I don't have a disney visa card and we could have had free dining, but it took away my 40% off room code and would have cost us 900.00 to add free dining.

So it's open to more people than card holders. Plus the dates are from dec 14-20th like you said.

Oh and for our dates, dec 10-19 if you try to price a room on-line, no availabilities come up for a value or moderate room.


That scares me!

This was our new favorite time to go, if it's jammed packed, I'm gonna be so disappointed. In 2006, there were 5-10 minute waits, tops.

THANK YOU!! We are beyond thrilled, and kinda sad since they are in Alaska till 2011, but hey, it gives us even more of a reason to go visit right?

We also went in Dec 2006, during the same week, and were also able to walk right onto rides. We rode EE 2 times in a row without having to get off. Same with BTMRR and Splash Mountain. I am really getting scared with everything I am hearing about the resorts being sold out.


How is Tim feeling?
