7 month mark is coming up and wondering which resort would be more likely for a waitlist. I know it all comes down to people canceling and all that so there is no way for anyone to really know. But I’m wanting opinions on what would be more likely to come through on a waitlist, poly standard studio or grand Floridian resort studio? Not sure the breakdown on the grand flo resort studios and how many have been declared yet, I know there are a lot of poly standard studios. Both resorts only have 1 of the 3 days I am looking for available so no real advantage either way there. Appreciate any feedback!

Poly has 288 standard studios and VGF has 84 standard resort studios and 88 lagoon view resort studios. So, Poly is a better bet, but you can have 2 waitlists at one time per membership if you want to cover your bases.

I think there are more standard studios at Poly vs GF resort studios. I also recommend checking the website pretty regularly... I've been able to grab rooms I need before the waitlist does.

It’s actually a rental due to being out of our own points lol. Person renting was nice enough to allow me to waitlist and pay the difference if it were to come through. Unfortunately can’t stalk like I like to or I have faith I would get the room lol. Thank you both! For some reason I thought there were more resort studios than that but couldn’t find the info. Poly definitely sounds like the way to go :)

VGF has 202 total resort studios divided into 3 views - standard, lake, & theme park. It’s 100% declared, but just over half sold so I assume DVC can rent out the studios it still owns for cash bookings via CRO.
There’s also 47 deluxe studios in the original building w/ 2 views - standard & lake.
