Can anyone who has stayed in a Poly concierge room give me some details? What is the difference between a reg. room and concierge? (Building choice, perks, etc.)

Also what is the approximate cost? I'm thinking of taking a trip with my mother either in early March or the 1st week of Dec. '04.
I usually stay at the All-Stars, but would like to spend an easy, relaxing week in a better resort for my Mom.

Thanks!
Terri

HMMM! never done it - but I'm sure someone has!

What a nice thing to do for your mother.

Polynesian concierge is wonderful...but regular rooms at the Polynesian are, too.

Other than suites, all of the concierge rooms at the Polynesian are in Hawaii (they're in Tahiti through the end of of this week due to renovations in Hawaii). Rooms at the Polynesian come in two sizes...big in the original buildings and even bigger in the three buildings that were added later. Hawaii is an original building. I think you'll love the space. Two queen beds, a daybed that could serve as a couch for you, table and chairs and a lot of floor space.

Concierge will help you make PSs if you like although I prefer to do it myself. A very nice continental breakfast is offered in the lounge which has gorgeous views of the lake, GF and MK. Cookies, fruits and beverages are available during the day. Veggies, cheese and a hot appetizer are out in the early evening along with wine. From 8-10pm, there are yummy little desserts and cordials to enjoy.

Bathrobes are in the closet to use during your stay and each room has a small refrig.

Hawaii is in a great location.

Hopefully others will be along to help. If you have any other questions, just ask. I need to go make lunch!

One of the main reasons we stay Polynesian Conceige is because of my mom, grandmother and mother-in-law. It is really nice for them to have a lounge to go to and get a snack or a drink. They aren't on the go as much as we are so it is really relaxing for them. My grandmother doesn't eat much so a lot of the time she will have the soup they put out and some apps and that will be dinner for her.

It is about $100 more a night I think. We have 4 small children so it is really nice for us to have the refrig in the room, be able to run down and get a water, milk, soda or snack without having the leave the building. The location is really awesome too. We were in Tahiti the first time we went and LOVED it, but Hawaii is just so centrally located it makes getting around a lot easier, especially for my MIL. The pool is right there too, which is great.

I also love it because they always seem to be able to get me CRT PS's. I just email them my requests and they always seem to come through.

I think you will love it. But it really depends if you are going to be around the resort much to justify the costs.

we stayed poly concierge last July and it was wonderful. I have twins and it was perfect. CM were very accomodating and there was always something to eat or snack on. With two 4yrs, that was important.

At nite you can sit on the beach and watch the fireworks. I think it is worth the price.

Thanks everyone! It's sounds awesome.
