I just noticed this thread! I booked my PCC 4.0 last week after debating for a month if I should go or not, being a single parent I wasn't sure if a cruise would be fun for me if my daughter wants to spend all her time in the kids clubs, worried I would be alone all the time. But after all the good feedback on PCC 2.0 I figured it might be worth it to give it a try.

Welcome !!! We are happy to have you join us. I wouldn't worry about being alone to much...start talking to other folks on here and arrange to meet up...I'm keeping a roll call in another thread... just post over there (Post your cabin # for PCC 4.0) and I'll add your cabin number...for now I will put you on the list as TBD. There's also another thread for unofficial events that are being set up...feel free to join in on any of them.

I love booking trips almost as much at the trip so I've actually got 4 overseas trips planned between now and this cruise LOL

We are finally going to meet each other!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard!

Even if it weren't a Podcast cruise, I think you would have more fun than you expect. DH and I have shared dinner tables twice with single moms travelling with their preteen daughters. Both mothers and daughters had a great time. They did excursions and other activities together, but also had time apart. Dinner was great fun, and when the daughters started getting bored they bopped off to the kids clubs. The best of both worlds.

We were on the Inaugural DCL Alaska Cruise ... did not need jackets for the vast majority of the cruise. Then again, we had PERFECT weather in San Francisco, Victoria AND Vancouver as well!

BTW, make sure you are in Quite Cove during Tracy Arms Fjords (there was an unannounced Salmon Bake for our cruise). Also, ORDER THE ELK when it's on the menu! It has the be the best tasting meat I have ever had!
