Yep, we will be on the dream. I better finish last year's TR before I leave for this trip so I can be all ready when I get back!

We live in Norther Suffolk near Portsmouth and Chesapeake, and it is even bad there. The smoke was really bad this morning on 664.

I'm sorry you have to cancel. The economy is still in the tank, and a lot of people are having a hard time with normal living expenses - let alone the extra expenses incurred when going on a 7-night Disney cruise.

Good Morning Everyone !!! I'm so excited...the day after tomorrow I can do our on-line check in !!!

As I listened to the morning news....it now appears that Irene is headed towards us...suppose to hit somewhere in the Carolinas....although it would be a good thing for it to help put out the fire in the Dismal Swamp...I don't like the idea of it coming that close....oh well....I guess tonight I will start making room in the garage so that I can put my patio furniture in there by the weekend.....I already had so much to do this weekend in preparation for my vacation (in 11 more days )...just didn't need a hurricane to come along for the ride....

Yeah, that would be a good idea...what I had planned for the weekend, will have to be done NLT Friday....what a pain !!!

It's a good thing that we changed our date to go to WDW..we were going to leave the 28th...our flight probably would have been cancelled.

Good Morning Everyone !!! Well, I cleaned up the garage last night to make room for the deck furniture..that needs to be brought inside by Friday, I changed my hair appt. to Friday also. Think I'll go to the store tonight or tomorrow to get the few things I'll need for the weekend. Spoke with DBF about getting gas for the generator...I know we will loose power for bit...good thing is that we are on the hospital grid, so the power won't be out for too long.

Only bad thing...when Irene is suppose to reach us, DBF will be at work....I'm thinking about asking my grand daughter to come over and stay with me...just so I have someone with me in the house besides the dogs.

From what channel 13 said this morning, Irene was on the same path as Earl....I just want her to put out the fire and move on.

Hopefully we get more rain from this one than we did with Earl. Suffolk didn't get much. It would be nice if we do get enough to put out that horrible fire. I am hoping that we are done with natural disasters after this!

It wasn't so bad. There were some people at work that didn't even feel it. I was sitting in my cube and we were wondering why the floor was shaking. Once the light fixtures were moving we knew it wasn't some construction going on. My DH was sleeping on the couch at home and he said the couch was shaking. And he usually can sleep through anything.

It wasn't much....I'm on the 2nd floor at work and the whole building shook like crazy...it only lasted 20 seconds, but it felt like a lot longer. Everyone was a little disoriented but no damage was recorded around here. Where my DD and DBF work (a grocery store) things fell off the shelves but that's about all.

Funny, I work on the 3rd floor. Sometimes the floor moves when people walk by. At first I thought that someone was walking by, but when it kept going I knew it was something else.
