or..........you could take a friend out for a birthday lunch. Hmmmmm, let me think. Is anyone having a birthday around that time? :rolleyes1

Awe jeese you guys are so sweet to remember that it's MY birthday on the 15th {hug}.

Good afternoon everyone! The girls are home from grandma and grandpa's house.

I'm asking for a few prayers and pixie dust for Emilie. She has to have an endoscopy bright and early tomorrow morning. She has been dealing with acid reflux for what we thought was off and on the last few years. But, I'm thinking it has probably been more on than off, and she has just adapted to it. They are going to put her to sleep for the procedure, and while it's a very minor procedure, we'll still a little concerned with the outcome and just the whole experience. Emilie has no fear, and she is very scared about tomorrow.

Thanks!
Prayers to Emilie for tomorrow. Give her my love.

I spent two weeks in Belgium - at a scout and guide camp. We stayed in Liege and Arlon then had a couple of days in Brussels :goodvibes It was great fun esp. being 16 and able to buy beer :rotfl:
Wow that is a small class!

It's worth going back to Belgium for those waffles alone

We're hoping to get to Disney Land CA over the next few years and see my brother and SIL too. Can't wait to see the new things they are adding - it all sounds amazing :goodvibes

Happy Thursday everyone :goodvibes

I've got training this morning! It's the 5S Japanese thing - I've read about it online and it's pretty much about keeping things tidy and organised!

Boy do I need some training for that - problem is that I'd probably lose the course book underr a pile of clutter :rotfl2:

Happy Thursday and Happy Canada Day!!!

People in the office are starting to run around like chickens with their heads chopped off, due to the upcoming long weekend. Is it really that big of a surprise? Especially to those who took Friday and Monday off? :confused3:confused3

"Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

If that weren't so long, I would tattoo it on my forehead.

I think I'm going to have that printed on my business cards and also on a sign for my desk :thumbsup2 That is great

I see this all the time in the printing business. People who wait to the last minute to print a program for an event that has been on their calendar for months (if not a year or more) and are surprised when we tell them we don't have enough time to produce their project - though we usually work long hours and pull out a miracle for them - since we are a "Service to the University".

It really isn't too bad - mostly common sense! We split into groups a couple of times to look at personal/work related areas which I think helps you focus a bit more. The guy doing the course was pretty good too, he seemed to know a lot about our products and we're not a run of the mill company!
It's even inspired me to tidy up our garage at home :thumbsup2

:sad2: I hate that, we get panics (weekly!) every Friday afternoon! We're winding down for the week and everyone else seems to have left an urgent job until 3.15pm - giving us about an hour and a half!

And once you've done it a few times they come to expect it!

I know you wouldn't eat such stuff ;)

By the way, I have a new salad recipe for you. It's a fresh spinach salad - do you like oranges and kalamata olives?

Mmmmm, that sounds yummy :goodvibes

Yes, you are correct and it is always the same customer's who do it time after time.

That is even more annoying, you should say you've had your 'freebies' now they have to get organised or it won't be done! We're trying that here, if they don't give us all the info we need we won't do the sample! It gets there gradually!

Happy Canada Day!

I was supposed to be on vacation in St. John, New Brunswick today. I have celebrated Canada Day in Canada at least five times in St John, Fredericton, and Fundy National Park.
