Shug, I dont remember if I told you .... my grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in May of 1974, just a few days after my grandfather was killed from turning a tractor over, just to give you a little more hope, she passed away in August 1996 just before her 83rd birthday .... I can remember what she went through, but she did give it one hell of a fight!!!!!
Just in case you were wondering why I always say you are one of my heroes, anyone who will get up and fight, well, need I say more???

Geez I've been up an hour and a 1/2 and I'm still not awake. And I was asleep by 11:30

Dmom--give the Celexa a few days. I think I felt like you do, a tad foggy, the first few days. The nauseau was really really mild for me though. Just a brief sense of ick then gone. Usually one when I eat. Not bad enough to stop taking it for me. If it's too bad though see your doc about something different. Not all meds are for everyone.

Chuck--that's very sweet of you to say. I honestly just decided to let go. Not give up, but let go. I stopped identifying myself as "Cancer Woman" and started just living my life again. This disease can take over and consume your entire life if you let it. My life had to start being about me again and not about my next dr appt.

Kudos to your granny too! The survival rate for ovarian cancer in 2005 was only 50%. I imagine in 1974 it was far lower. Your granny must have been quite scrappy to keep going that long!

I did it. I cut my hair off Actually, it looks pretty cute. When Dh gets home I'll have him take a picture and post it. It's much shorter and much easier to deal with now.
