Hi, I'm back! We had a wonderful week at the beach, the weather was perfect I can't believe it's over so fast and I'm back at my desk. I did get a pretty good tan, and I have alot of catching up to do

Ok you guys, I need BIG TIME PIXIE DUST!!! Although it's been promised to us since last November, we have yet to see the check Dh is getting from his grandmother's estate. I know these things take time but we were told about 3 weeks ago that checks were going out the end of the month (July) and they still aren't here. Aside from wanting to pay some bills with it, that's our Disney money. I haven't made a ressie for this very reason. I was just worried I'd pick a date and the money wouldn't show on time. Our trip is supposed to be the 9th thru 15th of Sept. It's not looking that way now. So toss me the biggest handful of pixie dust you got and make a wish on it that this money comes THIS WEEK!!!! Thanks!

What do you mean calico stripes? White and gold? If so, I would say that she is a torbie or a tortie. They can come with different coloring, but Belle (from Tigger&Belle) is a torbie because she has the tortie (tortoise shell coloring, but the stripes of a tabby). Her base coat is black, but she has a lot of orange. Some have a lot more black like your kitty. My signature kitty has more splotches of color so I think she looks more like a calico, but the vet calls her a tortie (she has a gray base, with muted colors, so that's why she's called "dilute").

Angel, do you have any other cats? If not, how about getting her a buddy? I really like having a couple at a time. Well, I have 4, but you don't need that many. I would have more if I didn't have dogs. One of our dogs sheds so much I just can't have any more hair around here right now.

DH says no more pets. He is not an animal person. The only reason he deals with Kitty is I had Kitty before I met him and he is well aware that if it came down to him or Kitty, Kitty would win.

Hey everyone! Just a quick hello. I'm feelin' pretty good today - back to school shopping is done, my parents left this morning to go back home after an extended stay at my place, and it's a beautiful day out. And, my dh brought me home some roses! School starts next Monday, I'm so excited!

We have tipsy but she's not doing very well

Sorry It's hard to have animals get old, isn't it? So how about a second kitten to give Paris someone to play with. We brought Tigger and Belle home when our old cat was elderly and it actually brightened his last year or so. Also made losing him a little easier on me.

Jasmine, My poor DH...he likes pets, but I'm sure would be twice as happy with half as many pets. And I'd be half as happy with half as many. And he wanted to stop at two kids, too. But of course he can't imagine what life would be like without Zach and Jake and he adjusts ok to the chaos that all these animals bring. If they just wouldn't shed!

Steph, I haven't even done inventory to see what my kids need for school. Jake could use a pair of shoes, but that's all I really know. It's usually summery around here for the first month of school, so I have awhile before I have to worry about fall clothes.

Morning all!
Last night I went out with a friend who was in town for a bit. It was mostly good times, but there was a reeeeally drunk guy who knocked me down in the parking lot (I was not drunk) and another reaaaaaallly drunk guy who wanted to get a bit too friendly. I'm married leave me alone did not work well on him. Oh, he is married too. Nice.

DH used to play in a band and they used to play some pretty wild venues. This one place there were always very drunk women who would hit on him. This one time, this woman propositioned him and he showed her his wedding ring and said, "I'm married." She said, "That is okay. I don't care. So am I." DH said, "Yeah, but I like it and want to stay that way."

Shug--wishing lots of pixie dust. We are waiting for an inheritance check too. My sister bought my mom's house and originally they were supposed to close on the house in Aug with checks for the rest of us coming soon after that. But then I know she closed in June so I don't know why we are waiting now. Thankfully we have not made any plans for that money.

phors--ugh. Those girls. You hope they don't know what they are doing and yet it is scary to think that they don't too. So far DD won't even wear a tankini that shows her belly button so I am hoping that trend keeps up and we don't have to battle over that very much.

Steph--the roses sound like a good sign.

T&B have to say I really liked your reply on the sleepover thread about being the place the kids come. That is my goal.

I will have to remember that one. I don't see why they are bothering me. It is nice to be flirted with by cute guys, I admit. But c'mon! This guy had to be taken away from me by his friend. Freak.
