Split vacation between WDW and the Wish

What are people’s thoughts on a split vacation between WDW and a half week Disney cruise on the Wish? We will be traveling with our five-year-old daughter. Our concern is that this might be too much. Right now the plan is to only have about two park days before we head to the port.

Honestly sounds like a wonderful plan! Cruises are a nice way to have more relaxing Disney magic and a really nice way to end a visit to the parks

Sounds good. If you can find more time for wdw do that but if not 2 days is something. 5 year olds will love cruises if they are confident enough to do the kids clubs. Our 5 year old thought the disney cruise kids club was heaven on earth.

That sounds great as long as you won’t feel like you missed too much with only 2 days at the parks. If you plan to do just what your daughter wants to/can do, 2 days might be enough. Then you can all relax on the Wish, which doesn’t require much advance planning to have a great time.

Our first two Disney cruises, when our son was 4 and I was pregnant and later when our daughter was 3, were split park/cruise trips because we weren’t sure how the kids would do on the ship. Both did great, so after our daughter’s first cruise we did a 7-night cruise the following year.

I did that with a 7 and 3 year old last year (although we only did one park day), I think 2 park days will be fine if it's 3 nights, then it gives you some space between unpacking and re-packing.
