PMS in a Handbasket--Don't be afraid, just bring us food... Part 2a

Oy Vay!!!!!!

It has been a long day so far! I have all these staff coming in to do paperwork. My friends son hurt himself at football last night and she had called me to take them to the ER, luckily her MIL got there and was able to take them instead. One of the staff was wearing this noxious perfume and now I have a headache.

And to top it all off my sister reads what I said about the delivery guy and lord knows she'll tell everyone.

Merle, LOL about MemoryMakers posting. Maybe now I can get some dirt on you. I thought of you yesterday at Kings Island--someone had a shirt from Derwood, Maryland that said they got crabs from some restaurant. Normally I would have said something to them, but my 12yo would have killed me I'm sure. Of course my 15yo would have thought it was pretty funny and I should have spoken up since it's not like WDW where we see shirts from home all the time.

You should have said something. :teeth: Sorry you feel bad. A couple years ago my nephew came to visit and I was so sick, but we had things to do with him. The first day he was here we took him to lunch at the mall, to Build a Bear and then I took him to the pool in 90 degree weather. I felt horrid. Get some rest and feel better.

There's a restaurant where I live called "Crabs", and their motto (which is on the t-shirts they sell), is "Crabs - We Got 'Em!"

Classy, huh?

Ahem, since we are airing dirty laundry, guess who at an ENTIRE 13x9x2 pan of coco pebbles treats in a single sitting and had the nerve to complain all night about being sick to his stomach  I can assure you it wasn't me.
This is great!!!! :lmao: :lmao:

That's great! I love it. Don't know if I'd want that on a shirt I was wearing though...

See siggy. :teeth:

I leave here on Sept 5 but arrive in Cairo on Sept 7. With two kids.

I'm not surprised I missed the signature dates. :teeth: That will be a fun trip with the kids. Yikes!

My DH has offered to bring Jake back to Kings Island this evening/night if the weather holds (it was really nice there last night and not crowded), but my DH has turned into such a wimp riding stuff that I don't know what Jake would be able to do unless my older boys also went and could ride with him. Jake is fearless, but my DH will talk him out of riding stuff because my DH can'g do spinny rides (or so he says), has a hard time with real rough coasters, as I do and is afraid of heights (as I am, but I just do it). Like I told teva, I'm kind of wishing that I had of left my DH home. Oh, and now my 12yo is complaining of a headache. :sad2:

I was able to take a nap and my fever broke. I'm still feeling achy and crappy, but at least I'm not shaking.

I can't remember if I told you this Teva, but Happy Birthday- belated. I don't have the energy to go back and check. Hope it was a good one.

Snowwhitesmom- welcome to the PMS thread, which can stand for anything you need it to.

My sister called me a little while, my Aunt, late 60's, and Uncle, early 70's are flying to Atlanta today. It is the first time either of them have been on a plane. My poor Uncle is having urinary issues and has a catheter. :guilty: I hope they don't give him a hard time about it, they are going to get a Dr's note. My Aunt was going to go out and buy locks because they are just doing carry ons and now it has to go under. My cousin told her not to bother, they will just cut it off.

There's a place here called "Dirty Dick's" Crab Shack. I bought my wife a t-shirt that says "I got crabs from Dirty Dick's". I'm not sure why she refuses to wear it out of the house :confused3

I missed teva's birthday???

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEVA!!! I am so glad I've gotten to know you, and had the chance to share both the good times and bad. I hope you had a wonderful day!!! :bday:

Hi T&B! I'm glad you're feeling better! :thumbsup2

Steph!!! It's so good to see you!

A big hi to everyone else! :wave2:

Dave phoned me from Heathrow a few hours ago to tell me that his flight earlier today was cancelled, but that he was able to get on a flight tonight. Hopefully by this time tomorrow he'll be home. He said that one of the things that's causing so many problems is that with all the cancellations and rescheduling, the pilots aren't getting their required rest time, which in turn is causing even more rescheduling. Dave's so laid back that most of the time he appears unconscious, so he's got everything in perspective and isn't upset--just really tired.

Hope everyone's having a great Friday and enjoys a lovely weekend! :sunny:

Tonight is the night people!!! Tonight is when 30 14 year old boys and girls are coming over for a pool party :sad2: I will want to have a drink with Dh's cousin Sandy but my Mom will be there.
Should I ask the Dis if its ok to have a couple of drinks at my 14 yo's birthday party? ;)

Glad hes heading home Luv! :grouphug:

Be brave angel, be brave. And no, you don't need to ask the Dis - and you're going to need more than just a couple of drinks to get through that party!

Angel, I say ask the DIS! :rotfl2:

luv, what a trying time for your DH!

My DH brought the boys out to lunch, but Zach started to feel worse, so my DH brought him back to the hotel. Says that not only his head hurts, but also his tummy. :sad2: We don't need a stomach virus! One trip from hell in a lifetime is one trip too many.

Hi People

Tig, I'm sorry you and Zach are not feeling well. Thank goodness it wasn't the beginning of your trip.

Grumpy...a whole pan?? At one time!

Angel, You are a brave, brave woman. I'm saying a prayer which includes the line....and please don't let her run out of alcohol. :thumbsup2

Please remember to let us know when Dave gets home.

Hey guys!

LB glad your travels are going well. Love the website btw.

Redshoes--got your PM and you should just post it here. That is hilarious. And you know what?? It DID make me feel better about my SIL! Those poor target girls do NOT make enough money!

T&B--sorry you don't feel well.

Teva--happy belated Bday!!!

Luv--glad your DH is going to be home and safe!!

Everyone else--how are ya???

I am trying to figure out how to get alcohol into my home without taking my kids to the liquor store. DH is working late, it's been a long week and I need a daquiri or something yummy. Living in this lovely state you just can't buy real alcohol except in a liquor store. Can't buy a car on Sunday either, but that is neither here nor there!

Thanks Julie. If I lived a few states closer, I'd help you out with that alcohol.

DM3, We can buy cars on Sunday, but we have to go to state liquor stores for hard alcohol (can buy beer there, too) and beer/wine stores usually for b/w. Some grocery stores sell b/w, but we have strange laws and it's rare for a grocery store to have it. It's why I still haven't bought any rum for my pina coladas. :rotfl: No biggy since they just give me migraines, anyway, but it sure sounds good (the drink, not the migraine).

My DH brought Jake and Ben to Kings Island for the evening. I'm bummed that I'm not up to going since I'm the amusement park junkie (my DH could totally take it or leave it), but at least he's being a good sport about bringing Jake. I would have gone and sat on a bench, but Zach is feeling worse so I didn't want to leave him alone. Maybe I'll go walk around the hotel--I'm getting stir crazy.

How true are these

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2006 when...

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.

6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.

7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.

8. Leaving the house without your cell phone,
which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go back and get it.

10. You get up in the morning and go on line before getting your coffee.

11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. : )

12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

14. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

15. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

AND NOW U R LAUGHING at yourself.

Go on, forward this to your friends. You know you want to!

Bonnie!!! YOu are in trouble. I was totally freaked out when I read the title of your I was fired thread. Here I was all worried about you! (And at the same time thinking in the back of my mind "but isn't she starting a new job?"

T&B--you have separate stores for just beer and wine??? Did I read that right? Okay, maybe our laws aren't so weird here!
