PMS in a Handbasket--Don't be afraid, just bring us food... Part 19

Then I'll tell the story, anyway...just would have been better with that lead in. ;)

First some backstory... we've always been very open and honest with our kids about all kinds of people and since they have an uncle who used to be sort of a gay rights activist they knew at a young age what it meant to be gay (I'll tell you about the uncle another time :) ).

Anyway, my 16yo was on a United Nations Pilgrimage Tour recently--there were 3 groups of 50 kids each, mainly from the US, but some from Canada and a few from Europe. They put 4 kids (obviously of the same sex) in a 2 double-bed room together. No big deal to my son, but boys that age can be pretty weirded out by that. Anyway, at one stay my son (Ben) walked into a room and two boys were already in there. My son was informed by one boy (call him boy 1) that Ben was sleeping with boy 1. Ben said ok, but why? Boy 1 said because "boy 2 is Canadian". Now Ben was really confused. Turns out that boy one had never met someone from Canada before except someone his mother knew, who happened to also be gay. What reasoning skills that this bright boy had to make that leap with boy 2, huh? Of course very sad that someone could be so damn stupid, but when Ben told me about it we laughed in disbelief.

So this child, on a UN tour, thought all Canadian men/boys were gay? How did he think they continued to populate Canada?

Well, I guess that was the point of the tour for the kids was to open their minds, right? Some got opened more than others, I suppose.

Ben didn't think to ask him that question. :rotfl:

Somehow I don't think that a mind can be opened if they have it squeezed shut.

I always wondered why I loved the guys in the Canada pavilion at Epcot so much...

What are we talking about? Gay Canadians? :confused3

Yup!

So about your dh and the boat hon....................he sort of had an Angel moment there didn't he???????? KIDDING, JUST KIDDING........don't throw things at me!!!!!!!! :lmao:

Since Angel didn't say it, and I love it when she does, STHU! :teeth:

Before everything happened yesterday, I had been thinking over the last week when I was going to book my next DVC vacation. Since everyone tends to miss each other from time to time, I got to thinking. I was thinking next summer, and I was thinking about trying to get into the AKLV :)

Any possibility of doing a meet next summer, this will give a lot of time for everyone to plan, and be able to bring families or go solo if they choose.

Any thoughts?

I tend to have a habit of missing ppl while in WDW, or be at the same property and we forget to check who is staying where

Oh Tim, sweetie, honey, cutiepie...

David, I've been meaning to tell you even before you joined us here, that I really like the Judith Light quote in your signature. Lovely sentiment.

Luv is the most enchanting woman I've ever met in the entire world, next to my wife. Her beauty, ethereal charm and love for humanity is incomparable. I bow before her, as should all of you.

Two can play at this game, Frogster!!! :cutie:
