Please share your EASY & Delicious crockpot recipe

Very easy roast:

Put roast in (any kind). Sprinkle one packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix on top. Cover with one can of Cream of Mushroom Soup. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. It makes its own gravy that is YUMMY. I usually serve it with rice or mashed potatoes.

If you don't like mushrooms, is there another cream soup to substitute it with?

Cream of celery, as a PP suggested.

I, myself, can't STAND mushrooms. Despise them. YUCK. Interestingly enough, however, I cook with cream of mushroom soup all the time and it doesn't bother me. :confused3

I think I'm going to make Sorsha's beef stew on Monday! Thanks for the recipe.

Did you make the stew today? How did it turn out for you?

I made baked chicken hindquarters tonight, with clean-out-the-leftovers fried rice. :) It was YUMMY. But NOT crockpot.

Beef Stroganoff

3 lbs. Stew Beef
1 can Golden Mushroom Soup
1 Can French Onion Soup
1 pkg sliced button mushrroms
1 pkg sliced portobello mushrooms (optional)

Cook on Low in crock 6-8 hours

Make a package of egg noodles

Stir in a block of cream cheese (cubed) & 1/2 container of Sour Cream

Delish!

I made this last night for dinner and it was a huge hit. Very easy and very Delish!

Thank you

- One bottle of BBQ sauce.

If you like hearty German style food and sauerkraut this is DELICIOUS!!!
You can reduce the fat and calories by using turkey bacon and turkey sausage. We just had this tonight and the hubster raved about it again, as always. Don't be fooled, it's really a main dish. I serve a salad with it and sometimes a warm veggie as well but it's fine all by itself.

Hot German Potato Salad with Sausage

* 8 bacon strips, diced
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 1 pound smoked Polish sausage, halved and cut into 1/2-inch slices
* 2 pounds medium red potatoes, cut into chunks
* 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of potato soup, undiluted
* 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
* 1/2 cup water
* 1/4 cup cider vinegar
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

Directions

* In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels. In the drippings, saute onion for 1 minute. Add sausage; cook until lightly browned. Add potatoes; cook 2 minutes longer.
* Drain; transfer sausage mixture to a 3-qt. slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the soup, sauerkraut, water, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Pour over sausage mixture. Sprinkle with bacon.
* Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until potatoes are tender.

I just did this one the other night...I threw in 4 or 5 chicken breasts and a package of McCormick Pulled-Pork seasoning (to that you add apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and brown sugar). I added the breasts frozen so I put it on high for 4hrs and then switched it to low. The chicken literally fell apart in the crock pot. It was sooooo yummy and made enough for two full meals for my family of 5!

An easy, but tasty, variation..

Replace bottle of BBQ sauce with bottle of Italian dressing. :thumbsup2 I swear DFi could eat that every day and be completely happy.

I do believe I am going to have to print this entire thread (and I'm hungry right now for some of this stuff at 7:17 AM :))

Today I'm making pot roast in the crock pot and saturday I'm making a soup.

Sunday night I made asian chicken wings.

Last week I made italian beef sandwhiches, inside out chicken pot pie, and chicken enchilida bake.

I use my crock pot at least twice a week year round. It helps when I work late or like tonight have guests over. I even use it in the summer so I'm not heating up my kitchen when it's miserable hot outside.

I have quite a few recipes but right now I have a roast in the crock pot with onions,potatoes, carrots add 1 can campbells beef broth, 1 can campbells french onion soup, 1 can of beer. Cook all day. Enjoy!!!

Lovemygoofy, did you make the recipes from last week in the crockpot?
If so, would you PLEASE post the recipe for inside out chicken pot pie? I know we would just love that!

All these recipes are so awsome! I can't decide which to make first!
Thanks everyone!

Loving these recipes. Have been using my crock pot at least once a week since school's started back.

Here are our two favorites right now:

Beef pot roast.

Rinse roast and place in slow cooker. Take one packet brown gravy mix and mix with the 1 cup of water and pour into slow cooker. Peel and quarter potatoes (I add as many as I can). Add carrots (peeled and sliced or baby carrots). Cut up some onion and add. I add as many potatos, carrots, onion as I can until all available space around the roast is taken. Usually cook on 2 for (2 out of 5) all day (8 hours or more). YUM.

BBQ chicken
Boneless chicken breast (6 - 8)
2 bottles your choice BBQ sauce.

Add chicken & sauce to slow cooker. Cook on level 2 for 6 - 8 hours. Shred chicken breast and return to sauce and cook another 30 minutes or so.

This is DS's favorite!!!!!

My variation is to use a can (I use family size with 3lbs of boneless skinless chicken breasts) of cream of chicken soup. Cook it for 6-7 hours and it tastes great. My kids love it and would eat it every week.

Place pork chops on bottom of crock pot
cover with 2 cans cream of mushroom (or cream of chicken)
I box Chicken Stove Top stuffing on top.. pour a little water over it
1 sliced apple on top

The apple will bake and drizzle apple juice into the stuffing

Cook for 6-8 hours on low

You'll have baked pork chops and stuffing!

I am subscribing to this thread!!

"The fall chill has set in, the leaves are falling and you are in need of a comforting dessert. Pull out the slow cooker and whip up this easy apple crisp recipe."

-Stephanie O'Dea

Ingredients
9 small apples
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
¼ cup orange juice
1/3 cup brown sugar, plus 2 tablespoons for crumb topping
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup crumb topping stuff (Substitutable withgluten-free gingersnap crumbs mixed with crushed gluten-free cereal, oats, smashed cereal, graham crackers, cookies, etc.)
cooking spray

Cooking Directions
Use a 4-quart slow cooker.

Spray the inside bottom and sides of your stoneware with cooking spray.

Peel, core, and slice the apples and plop them into the crock.

Cube the butter and dot on top.

Add the orange juice, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and vanilla.

Toss to combine with the apples.

Smash up your topping of choice and combine with the remaining 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.

Sprinkle on top of the apple concoction.

Cover and cook on high for 3 hours, or until the apples are sufficiently tender.

If you like your crumb topping crunchy (I do!), broil the uncovered stoneware on the lowest rack of your over for 4 to 7 minutes, or use a kitchen torch.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
