Please share your EASY & Delicious crockpot recipe

I made this last night and it came out great:

3 lbs country style pork ribs
1 jar salsa
1 bottle beer
1 envelope of onion soup mix

Put ribs in the crock pot. Mix salsa, beer and onion soup mix and pour over the top. Cook on low for 8 hours. Thicken sauce with cornstarch.

I served it over egg noodles and it was a huge hit at my house.

Lovemygoofy, did you make the recipes from last week in the crockpot?
If so, would you PLEASE post the recipe for inside out chicken pot pie? I know we would just love that!

All these recipes are so awsome! I can't decide which to make first!
Thanks everyone!

I had to look at what I wrote lol to remember what I cooked and listed. It's horrible having a little brain and too many details:rotfl:

Italian Beef Sandwhiches

2lb beef roast (I ask the meat man to slice it up as thinly as possible unless it comes from Sams then I have to do it myself)
2 cans of low sodium beef broth
1-3 teaspoons of dried italian seasoning (depending on your taste)
1 garlic clove minced(I use the already chopped garlic and use 3 heaping teaspoons)
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1 onion thinly sliced
1 medium bell pepper sliced thinly
1 jar of peppercinis (optional)
1 cup of sliced mushrooms(optional)
good crusty rolls
provolone cheese

If I already have my roast sliced, I throw it with all the ingredients listed but the peppercinis, rolls, and cheese into the crockpot and leave it all day.

When time to serve, I pour some of the juice over the rolls while making the sandwhiches and then top with the peppers and cheese.

Inside out chicken pot pie

2-3 chicken breasts chunked up
1 bag of frozen veggies for stew(it has chunked potatoes, carrots, celery, onions and anything else)
2 cans cream of whatever
1 can of milk(yes I use the soup can lol)
1/2 teaspoon of poultry seasoning

I put all this in the crock pot and let it cook for three or four hours. If chicken needs to be cut up I pull it out and cut it up. Last week I served it on biscuits like creamed chicken.

If I'm making true pot pie, I will use the roll out pie crust and bake the bottom part for about 10 mins on low and then pour the filling in and cover it up with the top crust and bake for another 20 mins on 375. Makes a homemade pot pie alot quicker when the inside is already made.

Enchiliada Chicken Bake

2-3 chicken breasts
1/2 packet of low sodium taco seasoning
1 can rotel
1 can enchiliada sauce

1 bag of boil in bag brown rice
1 can of rinsed black beans
1 cup of corn

I put the first 4 things listed in the crock pot and let it cook. About an hour before dinner time, I will shred the chicken and pour with crock pot liquid over the brown rice in the casserole dish. I also add rinsed black beans and cup of frozen corn. I top with cheese and then cover with tin foil and let it bake for 20-30 mins at 350. I serve this with tortilla chips and sour cream with squash or mixed fruit on the side.

I hope you like it. Let me know.

It got good reviews from my family - I think next time I would add more garlic to it, but I think it's a keeper! I served it over brown rice with asparagus on the side.

I always serve it with white rice and broccoli:thumbsup2 Glad you liked it. I'm going to make pepper steak tomorrow and that beef stew recipe over the weekend(london broil was on sale this week!!)

I made the Pot Roast recipe yesterday and my family loved it. I was really happy because they do not like most of the crock pot recipes I try. This one is a keeper :woohoo:

Here are my favorites:

Beef stew with tomatoes, vegetables, and spices, served with hot cooked noodles (from about.com)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs. stew beef or round, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14.5 oz.) tomatoes (I use petite diced)
2 cups sliced carrots
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 dry sherry or white wine, or use beef broth (I use sherry)
1/4 cup raisins
hot cooked noodles
Preparation:
Put beef cubes in a food storage bag; toss with flour and seasonings. Pour beef and any remaining flour and seasonings into the slow cooker. Combine tomatoes, carrots, molasses and wine. Pour over beef. Cover and simmer on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. Add raisins the last 30 minutes. Serve stew with hot cooked noodles. (I always brown the meat a little bit first and put in extra raisins)
Serves 6.

Chicken Taco Soup (my notes are off to the side on how I make it)
3-4 frozen boneless chicken breasts. (I do 3 in an oval pot- once they were huge and 2 were fine)
1 envelope of ranch dressing mix
1 envelope of taco seasoning (I get the chipolte flavored for a little more zip)
1 med onion diced
1 can of diced tomatoes or 1/2 jar salsa (I use 1/2 large jar of salsa, once I tried tomatoes and it was too bland)
1 can black beans, 1 can cannelini (or other white) beans, 1 can of red beans
1 can of vegetarian baked beans (my friend didn't put this in when I first tried it, so I don't. I have no clue how it tastes with it! Trust me, there are plenty of beans w/o it!)
1 can corn
Put everything in that order. Do not defrost chicken, it will cook up fine! Do not rinse or drain any of the beans or corn. Do not stir. Cook 6-8 hours (I do 8 on low). Take out chicken breasts, shred with 2 forks, and put back in, stir well. You can add mexican cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, etc. My BIL was going to serve this to his kids in taco shell bowls! BTW, it is a Weight Watchers recipe with tons of fiber as long as you stay away from the toppings I mentioned!

Here is one I haven't tried yet, but I have a neighbor that swears by it!

Easy Turkey Breast
1 turkey breast
1 15-oz can whole berry cranberry sauce
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 c orange juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

place turkey in cooker, combine ingredients and pour over turkey
cover, cook on low 6-8 hours

This uses just a boneless breast right?

Sometimes I'll just toss a small chicken (bone and all) into the crockpot with some herbs and potatoes and keep it on low all day. Tastes great. Baked chicken.

I brown pork chops in a frying pan-don't cook them through, just sear. Put into bottom of crockpot, deglaze pan with about 1/4 cup white wine. Stir in a can of cream of mushroom soup and wisk in with the wine/drippings. .

I'm trying this right now, with as close as I had substitutions. I did open a nice bottle of white wine. I may have been stingy with it in the recipe; I have parent teacher conferences in a few hours.;)

My two favorites:
BBQ Beef Sandwiches:
5 tablespoons dark brown sugar, divided
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 (1-pound) flank steaks
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup tomato paste
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons molasses
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
10 (2 1/2-ounce) submarine rolls, halved
Red onion slices (optional)
Dill pickle slices (optional)
Preparation
Combine 1 tablespoon brown sugar and pepper; rub over both sides of steaks. Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, onion, and next 9 ingredients (onion through salt) in an electric slow cooker. Add steaks; turn to coat. Cover with lid; cook on high-heat setting for 1 hour. Reduce heat setting to low; cook for 7 hours. Remove steaks; reserve sauce. Shred steaks with 2 forks. Return shredded steak to cooker; stir into sauce. Spoon 1/2 cup steak mixture onto bottom half of each roll; top with onion and pickles, if desired. Cover with tops of rolls.

Tortilla Soup:
5 Chicken Breasts
3 pckgs of taco seasoning
1 28oz can of tomato sauce
2 28 oz cans of diced tomatoes
bunch of chopped cilantro
2 tblspns of soy sauce
1 tspn of minced garlic ( I always add more )
1 bag of frozen corn
1 lrg can of chicken broth

Add it all together and cook till the chicken is done. Remove and shred it, and then throw it back in. Top soup with sour cream, cheese, crushed tortillas and/or diced green onions.

I eat both of these until they are questionable.

If you don't like mushrooms, is there another cream soup to substitute it with?

I made this last week and my whole family doesn't like mushrooms so I did a little research and most on Allrecipies.com said you could substitute with either Cream of Onion Soup or even French Onion Soup. I couldn't find Cream of Onion Soup so I bought a can of the French Onion Soup.

Dinner turned out GREAT! :thumbsup2

I actually used the Cream of Mushroom soup because someone else mentioned they hated mushrooms but was not able to tell. Well, they were right. You could not tell at all. The pot roast was DELICIOUS!

DON'T DO THIS!

Four chicken breasts
One bottle of BBQ sauce

Cook on low overnight and place in fridge in the AM. Take out after work and re-heat.

It just tastes nasty.

Very easy roast:

Put roast in (any kind). Sprinkle one packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix on top. Cover with one can of Cream of Mushroom Soup. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. It makes its own gravy that is YUMMY. I usually serve it with rice or mashed potatoes.

I am trying this today! Can't wait to get home to taste it!:thumbsup2

I do this all the time, but I don't put it in the fridge in the morning, I just cook it all day. Turns out delish every time. We eat this with sliced onions, pickles, peppers and rolls, make it a BBQ Chicken sandwich. :)

Today I put 1 can of each of these
corn, black bean, garbanzo beans, tomato sauce
2 cans of tomatoes
3 chicken breasts
garlic salt, taco seasoning, onion salt, diced onion, white pepper, cumin & chili pepper
in my crock pot, set it to cook for 10 hrs and dinner is done. We will eat it sour cream, salsa, cheese and tortilla chips. :)

I forgot this onr. My kids love it. Japanese Pepper Steak

1 lb of steak cut up to bite size pieces(I use London Broil)

1 red bell pepper sliced

1 green bell pepper sliced

1 medium onion sliced

1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms

2 garlic cloves crushed

3 tbs of soy sauce

1 tbs ground ginger

1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes

Put meat in crock with everything but peppers and mushrooms. Cook 4 hours and then add peppers and mushrooms. Cook another 2 hours. Serve with rice.

Made this tonight (minus the fungus ;) ) and it was a huge hit with the family. I've been told to double it and make it again soon. Thank you!

Great looking recipes so far! I am making the broccoli cheese chicken tomorrow! Anyone have a recipe for lasagna in the crockpot? I made it once, but I can't find the recipe used! TIA!
