I think the only thing Casey used the pool for, was to wash her hands of evidence, or maybe even take a dip in the pool for the same reason. The Anthony's said they found the ladder inside the pool on, was it the morning of Tuesday June 17? They said they never leave the ladder in the pool because it was a safety hazard for little Caylee. Casey may have gotten into the pool to wash off evidence and left the ladder in there without thinking... or maybe she thought 'why take the ladder out when there is no Caylee to worry about.' Have the cops checked the pool filter? I hope so!

Good points!

Hmmmmm. Thats something to think about....using the pool to wash off evidence. That would explain the ladder.

I thought that she called her parents on their cell and at work...not home...I am not 100% sure since I was making dinner and watching Nancy at the same time. :confused3

Yes, she did call home a couple of times

They put up some chart that showed exactly who and where she called at which time. It showed her calling her parents home three times..don't remember the times. She called her mothers cell twice and her dads once.

I am not a personality expert but Casey strikes me as a very reactive person. She gets mad and storms off. She steals when the urge hits her. She disappears for long periods of time. It doesn't seem to me like she sits around planning these things. She wants what she wants, when she wants it.

Now, maybe I am VERY wrong about her but if she is a reactive person, I could see her getting ticked at her mom and Caylee starts crying and as a reaction, she kills her. However, she also doesn't strike me as the sharpest knife in the drawer. It amazes me that if she really did kill Caylee that a ton of evidence hasn't been found and an arrest made. Maybe the police have evidence but it strikes me as odd that they haven't charged her with anything more serious. They are waiting for the parents and friend to file theft charges! :confused3

Following the reactive personality, I still wonder if she didn't give Caylee away without thinking anything through. Maybe that person harmed the little girl and doesn't want to come forward because DNA would prove that.

Thanks for letting me babble. I am just grasping at straws here. This is so frustrating.

Her father is a police officer and there is the possibility that good old dad helped her cover it up. Think of all of the apparent contridictions in everyones stories, when stuff like that happens it usually points to a culprit or culprits.

Borrowing a shovel, backing her car up in the driveway which was never done according to neighbors and her car smelling like a dead body tells me she didn't give her away. Cindy washed the pants that was in the car. Remember the dad is an excop and I wouldn't doubt if he told Cindy to wash the pants just in case. Cindy herself stated the car had a dead body smell to it.
I think they are trying to build the best case they can against her. I'm sure they know a lot more than we do.
I have noticed Cindy looks more down lately (since Wed) which makes me wonder if deep down inside she knows what really happened. A couple of times she wouldn't even look into the cameras while talking.

I think you're right that Cindy does know deep down what happened.

Didn't someone mention that there was a round table discussion with Cindy, George, and law enforcement? And in that discussion, the detectives let the Anthony's know where they're at in the investigation? Perhaps they finally convinced Cindy of the truth... or rather let her know that they really do know the truth, that Caylee is no longer with us.

Cindy may be wacky, but I do not doubt her love for Caylee and if she continues to be quiet and withdrawn, not her usual 'get me in front of the camera' self, I'd say she has been presented with proof of some kind and has to face the horrible truth. If George stops babbling about 'figment the kidnapper' then I guess we'll know something has actually progressed in this case. :confused3

Someone on TV said they think as soon as the police get concrete proof, they will be racing to the courtroom to charge Casey with murder.

Any other news/updates?

Yeah, I didn't think about the dad helping her or someone else possibly helping. It just seems like left to her own devices, she would leave behind a lot of evidence. Maybe she did it on her own and daddy cleaned up her mess after the fact?

They (Cindy and George) claim someone saw Caylee last night? I think that's the latest at WFTV. Cindy shouted that at reporters, but then refused to say anything else.

The thing about the phone calls is confusing, because there were two days where there were a "flurry" of calls made. It mentions that calls to the home were made the second of the two days.

"According to the leaked records, Casey made six calls to her parents on the afternoon of June 16, with the first call at 3:03pm to her father's cell phone and the last of the six made to her mom's cell phone at 4:24. During that time she also tried her mother at work and called her ex-fiancé, Jesse Grund.
The next day, June 17, neighbors told investigators that Casey borrowed a shovel from them. Then, on June 18, there was another spike in calls to her parents, six in 45 minutes during the early part of the afternoon. According to the leaked records, three calls were made to her parent's home phone, two to her mom's cell phone and one to her dad's cell phone, all between 12:33pm and 1:11pm."

Greta Van Susteren interviewed Casey's and boyfriend Tony's best friend/room mate, Clint House, last night. His interview seems to be the most 'damaging' of all for the seemingly bright, outgoing, happy go lucky, party girl Casey, who had many hidden problems that are only being touched on the surface. I believe in unconditional love, but, her parents need to stop covering for her and hold her accountable for her irresponsible behavior. :guilty:

I hope all the testing is made evident very soon, as hopefully they'll have proof needed to lock this psychopath up forever. My hope is growing more dim, as sadly I am fearing the worst for that beautiful innocent child. :sad1:

Now the grandparents are supposedly being threatened, etc. :sad2:

There is no doubt they've always known more than they're telling... and they do that for a reason. They want a confession, which may not happen, and they want to build a unbeatable case.

Cindy may be getting to the point where they want her... she talks so much that she is BOUND to spew more information. She and George are protecting themselves in this, also.

All in all a very SAD case. All of them will have to pay the price for what happened to that child.

Maybe she did it on her own and daddy cleaned up her mess after the fact?

I totally agree. What better accessory after the fact could she have found than daddy? I read that George did file for divorce in 2005 a few months after Caylee's birth. He obviously didn't go through with it, but I think I could see him trying to protect his daughter AND protect his reputation in the process, by cleaning up her mess.

I still don't think Cindy gave the police the original pants that were in the trunk. I think she gave them a different pair, at George's instructions. George's speech about the gas can incident (on Greta) sounded so rehearsed, but something the police saw on Greta's house tour, sparked another visit from police to the Anthony house to collect more evidence.

Something tells me their marriage will not last. This is an awful lot of turmoil to go through when the marriage is on shakey ground to begin with.

I do hope this will be resolved. After the Natalee Holloway case, I have lost a lot of hope, even with modern technology on our side.

I totally agree, retired or not, he still would have some pull to cover things. It sure wouldn't be the 1st time the law did something like that.

I believe that the grandparents are doing the C Y A program So that when it all comes back they want to look like worse victims then what they are.

does anyone feel the way they felt with the Lori hacking case?

That happened close to where I live and it's just all so........sad.

So on NG they said the cell records indicate pings near Orlando Airport one of the days she made all those calls to her parents. Interesting. And didn't we hear at one point a witness came forward who claims to have seen Caylee at an airport (I forget which), and asked her last name and she pronounced it just like her grandmother said she does without the "th" sound.

Ok, now they are saying that the cops say that Caylee probley died around June 16,17 or 18 th. So they know something that noone else knows. It will eventually come out, I think.

Lots of open land and lakes around the airport too isn't there?

I just logged in, but I have 3 thoughts:

* I watched Nancy Grace tonight and heard all the questions, but I am a little miffed that they did not try to answer the one that peaked my interest: 'How could mom, Casey, afford a nanny if she had been unemployed for so long?' (and had to move in with her parents?) Is she really that good of a liar? What did the parents think that she did that she could afford a nanny?

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure I know the answer to this :guilty: - mom was such a good liar that she got away with it for a looooooooong time, until grandma Cindy finally called her on it and dialed 911.

* What do you make of the body language between grandpa and grandma? I think it is "off" somehow, but I cannot explain it. Does anybody have a theory?

* It is disturbing to me that the authorities are still searching. If they had solid evidence, they would not have to keep searching. What are they looking for? I understand that it is easier to prosecute someone if you have a body, but do they not feel that they have enough evidence already to go ahead and charge mom?
