I have not heard anything...where did you read about a pirate restaurant?:confused3

What pirate restaurant?? First that I've heard about it. I've heard about the downtown disney T-Rex but not a pirate themed restaurant. Where did you hear this?? I look forward to hearing the responses. THANKS!

Someone mentioned this on a TRex thread but never answered questions about it..I havent heard anything or read anything about it

I haven't heard anything about a pirate restaurant. :confused3 Other than a message posted that someone would like a pirate themed restaurant the only new themed I know of is T-Rex (which I can't wait till it opens!) Pirates would be  awesome though! Could you image Captain Jack's as waiters?!?!

Great idea!! I wouldn't eat anywhere else!! Just think, Capt Jack for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

There is some info mentioned on the BBB thread on the Parks and Attractions board. It was mentioned by one of the FGIT that works at the BBB at the MK. She says it will replace El Pirata y el Perico and have a boys themed BBB.

There was some talk mentioning construction going on in Adventureland last month, but I never saw it when I was there. I did see signs about POTC being closed for Refurb, but other than that I saw no construcion/building and I never could get any more info on it.

There is also a restaurant at DTD called Captain Jack's, which could be confusing people, as well.

Basically a poster said in another thread that she called WDW Dining about making reservations for the T-Rex cafe and an unnamed Pirate restaurant. She said that she was told to call back in a month or so and they would be taking reservations. I took it as WDW dining was talking about T-Rex cafe. I guess she hasn't come back to specifiy on that post as to whether or not WDW dining was also talking about a pirate themed restaurant. So I guess I'm not getting my hopes up yet until WDW makes an official announcement.

I read about this on another thread related to the T-Rex.
Maybe there is no Pirate Restaurant??
I have 3 boys who would love the TRex or a Pirate Rest., so that is why I was asking.

There is no Pirate Restaurant. People were "wishing" there was. We were all commenting on how Disney has so may Princess places for little girls, there should be a place for Boys, like a Pirate themed restaurant...or Toy Story.

I remember reading a long while ago about a possible pirate themed restaurant named "Tortuga". I don't remember where I read this. But it sounds good to me!

1) There is no Pirate Restaurant planned.
2) Well, at least that have been announced.
3) People would like to see one, especially with Jack.
4) But, don't look for it
5) They are actually cutting back on character meals.
6) They have gotten out of hand.
7) People complain that there are not enough "regular" eateries.
8) And, I agree with this one.

This was copied from the BBB thread and she is supposedly a FGIT at the MK

OK DM, there is a boys boutique that will open in sept. or oct. of this year. It will be in adventureland and will be in the new pirate restarant that will open in that area as well. boys will be able to dress as a pirate or some other boy character and have there hair done as well as feature things as fake scars ans tatoos that they can wear. No press release on this yet. I hope you ladies love this place as much as you love the BBB in mk and dtd.

I am not saying I believe it, but this is a response I got when I doubted her

If you choose not to believe it, that is your choice. While working for Disney, you come to hear a few things about future establishments before any outside folks do. I work in the Magic Kingdom, where this proposed establishment will be, and I have definitely heard some information about it. Bits and pieces, but something at least. And the construction site is definitely a reality...you can see that for yourself. But, as is true with all "facts" about future openings, plans at Disney can change with the blink of an eye. So, if this pirate place ends up not opening for whatever reason, or is not quite what you all are now expecting (thanks for opening up that can of worms, fgit in training lol), don't be surprised. Maybe just take a breather before you all start wondering about reservations and exact details. Let the official announcement be made first. ;)

BTW, you can't book T-Rex through Disney Dining, you will have to book it directly with T-Rex, just like you do for Rainforest Cafe.

If it's true I am SUPER excited..... maybe that's what LTT is going non-character, maybe they are moving Goofy, Minnie and friends over to the Pirate themed restaurant.... one can wish :confused3

A little off topic but...
Exciting! You are the creator of the famous planning spreadsheet I take it? I tried to download your trivia sheet but I couldn't find the link.....
