Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Is there anyway to add a member of your party to it after you booked? By accident I left someone off and I need to add them to it.

Sorry but no. They need to book their own or you can book a new LLMP or LLSP for them and try to get overlapping experience widows. You can't add since adding involves paying for this extra person and you would also need an exact time match that is available.

It is just not possible to program the system for this type of request.

Note you are also able to modify your experiences to overlap with what this addition person is able to book.

So, if you enter a park and use your first ride (let's say it is a Tier 1 ride), can you then cancel your two Tier 2 rides, and book 3 rides at any park (Tier 1 or Tier 2, subject to availability)? Might be helpful if, for example, you start at EPCOT but plan to go to Magic Kingdom later.

So, for example, let's say you book an early Tier 1 and 2 other Tier 2s at EPCOT, then scan into the early Tier 1 ride, cancel the two remaining Tier 2's, and immediately book 3 rides (Tier 1 or Tier 2) over at Magic Kingdom. I presume you need to scan into the first EPCOT ride before doing any of this. Correct?

The risk is that many rides are gone at MK by the time you scan into the early Tier 1 EPCOT ride but can help stack some rides later in the day - especially if you don't care about the Tier 2 EPCOT rides.

Thanks for any help!

I hope everyone who wanted to pre-book and less capacity in the LLs happy. If things continue like this, you will likely only get the 3 rides a day since capacity is filling so quickly. I already miss Genie+.
Based on the fact that EVERY GUEST in all four parks used to have the very similar FP+ system, and still get FAR more than 3 per day, I think you'll be proven wrong. We are only a few hours into a brand new system. I would give it a few weeks at least before drawing any conclusions, and even those will still be initial findings

This is assuming Disney is giving the same LL capacity, my friend, and there has been a lot of discussions they are not in order to please the masses who want shorter standby lines.

You cannot compare apples to apples.

What are you really trying to accomplish by the use case?

There is no real advantage to booking any experiences in Epcot that you don't plan to use. Using your example just book 1 Tier 1 in Epcot. Tap in to that experience and then you can book any 3 experiences at any park where there are any available experiences. There are no tiers and you still can only have up to 3 experiences on a rolling basis at any time. Stacking is gone for now. There is no 2 hour rule.

Your tone isn’t helpful, and you absolutely can compare apples to apples. It’s the best way to compare things

Does anyone know if you can redo rides? One of the flaws for us with genie+, was no do overs. We can't do most of the big rides, but more than happy to repeat a few of the kiddie type rides.

So if I truly have no intention of riding any of the tier 2s (park hopping after a few hours), I'm best served by only booking the tier 1 I want and doing it as early as possible, and leaving the other 2 empty. Then hope for another tier 1 at this park and then 2 more for the evening park and booking all 3 after scanning at 1st attraction.

This is a scenario I'm very intrigued by and hoping someone can confirm this is allowed. It's not been clear to me if you have to book 3 before making additional bookings day-off.

I was curious about this, too. However, if I understand everything correctly, I think it is best to simply pre-book any 3 attractions. One, you paid to select them in advance. Two, what if the 1 attraction you pre-booked happens to be out of service? Then, you would have no other selections and would be scrambling to find something else around the same time on the day of. Three, changing an existing selection or filling an empty slot should be virtually the same. I think the only sticking point is that--for rides you are not tapping into--you would have to make sure existing selections are potentially changed before the arrival window starts, or I believe you would have to wait until the whole window expires to modify.

But, I still feel like someone might as well book all 3 in advance??

This is my thinking as well, particularly if someone wants at least one guaranteed ride in the first park.

However, I am also considering only paying for the second park of the day, and pre-selecting 3 rides there. Then, we would use rope drop, standbys, virtual queues, or single pass for the first park.

I'm assuming these are all valid ways to use the system.

I'm very interested to see how this goes as is everyone else I'm sure. I am also very glad we aren't there until the end of October so we have time to learn the system prior.

Even more interesting is the crowds lately have been lower than predicted at least according to Touring Plans.

For example, the past week:

July 23 Predicted 7, observed 5
July 22 Predicted 6, observed 5
July 21 Predicted 5, observed 3
July 20 Predicted 5, observed 3
July 19 Predicted 6, observed 4
July 18 Predicted 6, observed 4
July 17 Predicted 6, observed 5
July 16 Predicted 6, observed 4

I know TP usually seems to predict a bit on the higher side, but if the observed crowds the past week are correct then it's showing a bit lesser crowds.

If rides are showing no availability and going fast, then I can't imagine with observed crowds at 7+

Please remember, many found G+ not to be worth the cost at Epcot and AK. It may very well may be the same with LLMP. Just because you can purchase it does not necessarily make it worth the price if what you’re paying.

I’m surprised by the number of people purchasing for every day if they trip and adding hundreds of dollars in one quick go.
Yeah, buying all these non-refundable "perks" way in advance is horrible. I hate how the world is going to that. At least you can return movie tickets still. But hey, lets spend a grand on ride access when it might rain all day, or I may not feel good then.

No re-rides, unless you use stand by.
thank you. Not what I wanted to hear.

Edit to add. at MK, we go on 6 rides. JC, haunted, small world , buzz, webway, railroad.

AK, we go on 1 ride, safari

HS, we go on 4, toy story, star tours, smugglers, and rise (without DAS, we won't be doing rise)

Epcot, we go on 4 SSE, Figment, listen to the land, ratatouille .

Our days are made up of these rides and shows .

Certainly not worth an extra $40 -50 a day for DH and I.

Yes, we'll just have to wait and see my friend.
