no code here but i am checking in on 2/10 and checking out on 2/15. if i were to recieve a code would i be able to apply it to the dates i would be there ie the night of 2/10, 2/11, and 2/12 or is that only good if you ceck out by the date listed? tia

You should be able to apply the code to the nights you're there that qualify for it.

First, I hate everyone who gets that email or postcard. Unless I end up getting one. I have gotten two different free dining emails (same dates, different email addresses –me and DH) and the $49/night pin AP holder email. But those aren’t usable.

We're not quite sure about that, or at least it would be close. We're paying $240 a night at WL, and with the 40% we'd be saving $96 per night. The dining plan is $78 a night for both of us, but the way that we've planned our TS and CS meals, we will be spending close to $90 in food a day. We wouldn't eat like that if we didn't have the dining plan, but we have never done it before and think it'll be fun - plus we're running the half marathon so we can justify the extra food! So, our net savings would be only $6 per night, if we did choose to use the PIN code. And the convenience of the dining plan more than makes up for that. However, if the released code includes a room discount, it will be a better deal for us.

I'm tempted to call and make a seperate room only reservation for WL (if it's available) and just cancel one of them before the 45 day mark, if a better discount comes out.

So, you got an e-mail? Have you tried calling reservations and having them run your total with the pin code. Then, you can figure out how much you'd save with Free Dining as well. However, you do realize that no Free Dining discount might come up, and 40% could be the best offer. You should go ahead and call and apply the pin code, if a Free Dining offer does surface, then you can change it to a package then, and drop the 40%.

For those that got the email....I'm curious to know when was the last time you were at the world?

I went twice last year so I'm kind of thinking they have no incentive to offer me anything.

Next time... you should go under an alias, then they'll be tricked!

Hi: I have never received an email pin. I check with reservations and they have my email address, and I checked at disneyworld.ca and it is there I receive Disney Insider. Is there somewhere else that I need to register? Also we were there last feb/mar 07. Any ideas where else to register?

PLUS, when I got the code (last nite) I already had the following dates booked:

Canadian here, with no pin code. I have been checking my email's junk folder on my provider's website, just to be sure. Nothing.

This code would be perfect for us! I've got AAA at the AS for Jan right now, but 40% would be awesome!

I'll price it out if there's a free dining offer, but I'm not sure how well that would work for us.

I'm hoping for something good!!

Don't buy it. It's just random luck. We're pass holders and go every year for 10 days and stay onsite. I have received at least one code every year since 2003; received some prior. Most years I receive multiple codes. Heck, I remember when the snail mail postcard codes were always better than the email codes; now they are the same--just a different method of delivery.

Unfortunately, we can't always use them since they don't cover our dates (like this year). However, we still have never paid rack rate. Between GP codes (what we're using this year), Disney Visa, or AP codes we've always managed to get a discount. PINS are great, but they aren't everything. Maybe some pixie dust is coming your way yet.

Thanks for everyone who responded to my questions about whether I should use the PIN code for our reservation for Jan 8-11 at WL. You guys did make me see the logic of calling to change to a room only reservation; I don't know what I was thinking. Anyway, so when I called to make the change, I had a pleasant surprise; the CM told me that she *could* apply the PIN to our package! However, there were no standard rooms left with the discount, so we upgraded to a woods view bunk bed room and still saved $250 on our three night package with dining!

My day has officially been made. So, if there's anyone else who has gotten the code, know that you *may* be able to use it with a package, despite what was originally stated.

so since its a rack rate discount , does that mean that as long as there is a rack rate room at the value, I can apply the code so long as i book before the book by date? (ie less limited, if you will, than some other codes?)

also can it be used towards mods?

There is limited availability for the code - meaning that even if there is a room available at the resort you want, there is a decent chance that the discount will not be available. For example, I called to apply the code to my reservation at WL for January and, even though I had already booked a standard view room and so clearly it was available to me, there were no discounts available on that room. I had to upgrade to a woods view room to receive the discount.

And yes, the code is available at moderates and deluxes as well as values. I got a rate of $49 for my night at POP and saved about $100 a night at WL (not sure of the exact rate because of the room upgrade and the fact that it was quoted as part of my package).

Another Canadian here who received the PIN code yesterday. They must be feeling sorry for us after our dollar has lost 10-15% over the last week or so!

I was also wondering if the 40% off applies only to Value resorts or does it apply to Moderates and Deluxes too?
