See, that's what I was thinking, but I'm not sure if the Catholic church will allow that- they have lots of rules as you probably now. I would love to do that and I should look into it.
Yes, they do have a lot of rules! I'm not sure they would allow it, but I would still ask. It never hurts to ask, especially if it's a leader of a church you've been going to forever and have a good relationship with.

I know my family isn't trying to make things tough but they really really are! It also doesn't help that both of my cousins who are getting married only a few months before me are both having the full blown Catholic service which I will be compared too.
No time to get the fiance to go through RCIA? Just kidding. It's a shame they're comparing your wedding to theirs. Each wedding is a separate, beautiful event.
