Hi Honu! I"m going to a roller derby bout tomorrow night and volunteering as a disaster victim on sunday. The disaster victim thing is for the emergency personnel in the area. Its going to be a mock train incident. Any weekend plans for you?

Cool! I love Roller Derby. My friends and I went all the time last year.

I've done the disaster victim thing before. I think it's really fun. Do you get to do all the makeup and stuff?

No weekend plans for me. Just hanging out, resting. I think my family and I might go to a movie on Sunday. The new one with Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck.

No weekend plans here. I have to work tomorrow 7-3, joy. That is going to be interrupting New York Rangers playoff time!! There's a game at 1. Which annoys me because I hate day playoff games. It just doesn't seem right.

Aah! I finally found my way here. I think I need to have some kind of disappearing nickname or something!
Welcome back!! We missed you!! What's new with you?

Hey everyone! How's it going? Hanging in there. Still not a ton of energy. But HC was around all morning today and will be back tomorrow. There were some other cute contractor guys here as well, so that was nice. :cool1::cool1::cool1: Anyone got any good weekend plans?
Hey! I'm glad you are hanging in there. Keep your head up! You will regain all that energy soon! :cheer2:for HC!!!

Sounds fun! If you go, let us know how it is!

Bummer about the game.. they should give you the day off :thumbsup2.

Last night I helped my Dcousin get ready for the prom! She looked wonderful. The theme of their prom, apparently, was "How Sweet It Is" and they had candy bars, giant cupcakes everywhere and candy hanging down from the ceiling. She said it was really cool!

Today, DFiance has to write papers for work that are due sometime the in middle of next week that are like a bazillion pages long.. and he hasn't started. :headache::headache: It drives me crazy, I tell him to get on it-- and then he gets mad because I'm being "pushy", yet he still doesn't have these papers done (or even started..). So I won't be spending any time with him today or tomorrow probably considering he'll be writing up a storm. Tonight I am going with my mom to her church dinner and then tomorrow there is a craft fair that I think we will go to!

You're not being pushy; you're being reasonable. I'll bet you anything he complains about how long it's taking when it could've been done already! Men.

I'm at work. I'll be here physically at 1 but mentally, I will be tuned out, listening to the Rangers game!

So true.. he was too busy playing video games with his friends this week. ***. Okay, I mean I guess it'd be different if he was like 35 and still playing video games, but come on, the man is getting married, no more video games!! :lmao:

Sounds like a plan! Who are they playing?

The Washington Capitals. It's the first round of the playoffs. The Rangers won game 1. Today is game 2.

The Universal TA website is making me want to bang my head against the desk! I booked a trip for someone yesterday and misspelled a name and am trying to fix it and it keeps giving me a technical difficulties message. I would call them but I'll be on hold forever. Disney's website is so simple. I just put a hold on a reservation but now I can't forward the email confirmation cause it says something is wrong with her server! :badpc:

Another reason why Disney is simply better.. :rolleyes1. I bet being a TA is tough-- it'd kill me to see everyone making travel plans to really fun places and not being able to go there yourself. I'd be so tempted to just start booking vacations whenever I felt like it.. :cool2::rotfl:

Exactly what I was thinking about Disney  It's not even Universal's site, they go through VAX and it's a really irritating system. Disney's is so simple.

I had a client's Disney documents come in and I gave them to the family. They're leaving in 2 weeks and are so excited. A client who just returned gave me a call the other day and told me all about her trip. We were on the phone for like half an hour! It just makes me more excited for my trip. I can't wait til I see my own documents in my TA mailbox!!

Aww.. that will be so exciting. Be sure to take pictures!!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!
Hey Ladies! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a pretty good day today- we went to church last night so this morning I slept in and then went to a fair with my mom near our house. DFiance stayed home and worked on work stuff :guilty:. Then I went to the YMCA, went swimming and signed up for a Pilates class. That should be interesting.. :rolleyes1:laughing:
I think tonight we might rent a $1 movie from the "Redbox"-- does anyone have those around your house? Ours are at wal-mart and publix. You can rent a new release movie for 24 hours for $1. www.redbox.com See if there is one around you!!

I'm not sure.. I know that if you don't return it within the timeframe, it either charges you another dollar OR the retail price of the movie. Regardless, I try to return them asap, The New Release is also like the redbox www.thenewrelease.com

Oh, Monday.

I hope everyone is having a nice Monday. I feel like I have TONS of work this week and it makes me a lot grumpy. Boo.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT:
DFiance and I are considering eloping.....
Yes. Just because everyone is really pressuring us about where we are getting married. We wanted to get married at a Church but since I'm Catholic and he is Baptist, there's an issue. Both families are pushing for one church over the other. Honestly, we don't care. We just don't want one side of the family to stop talking to us because of whatever choice we make. We would still have our reception and what not.. but I feel like I would break my mom's heart if she wasn't there to see us get married. Any thoughts, opinions, advice?

Hi everyone!

Rora, what about having the wedding somewhere other than a church? Maybe a hotel or something like that. When my brother got married, they had the wedding outside and they didn't do anything religious. Both sides of the families are different religions, and my bro and his wife didn't want to offend or upset anyone, so they kept it neutral. Good luck whatever decison you make....just remember...its YOUR day. Do what make you both happy.

Hey Rora, what about having an outdoor affair and inviting a pastor from each church to come and participate in the ceremony?

It's times like these when I wish that families would back off and realize what they're doing to the bride and groom. I'm sorry you have to go through that.

That's what I was thinking but I think we'd be in even bigger trouble if we didn't have anything religious going on.. :sad2:

See, that's what I was thinking, but I'm not sure if the Catholic church will allow that- they have lots of rules as you probably now. I would love to do that and I should look into it.

I know my family isn't trying to make things tough but they really really are! It also doesn't help that both of my cousins who are getting married only a few months before me are both having the full blown Catholic service which I will be compared too. :scared:

Oh well. Thanks for your advice girls! I really don't want to elope.

How was everyone's day?

Good so far. I had a good weekend. One of bffs came to visit with her kiddos. We got to hang out all weekend.

Yes, they do have a lot of rules! I'm not sure they would allow it, but I would still ask. It never hurts to ask, especially if it's a leader of a church you've been going to forever and have a good relationship with. :thumbsup2 I would explain the situation. Good luck!

No time to get the fiance to go through RCIA? Just kidding. It's a shame they're comparing your wedding to theirs. Each wedding is a separate, beautiful event.

Trust me, we can come up with a plan so you don't have to elope. Never fear! Your sisters are here!

How was everyone's day?

My day is going OK. My dad is going to let me drive the John Deere again this afternoon, so that's like heaven for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Very good point. I need to get buddy-buddy with a priest there (does that sound horrible? I mean I could probably use the guidence regardless :rotfl:).

Aww, you're sweet! Yeah, my cousins are more like sisters to me but EVERYTHING is a competition. Ever since we were little. It's annoying. Some people never grow up..:upsidedow

And as far as RCIA is concerned, that's a big no . DFiance doesn't want to convert, which I told him was fine with me.. but at the same time, this would fix the issue (and probably open a whole other can of worms..:rotfl2:)

How fun!!! I love John Deere. I collect John Deere stuff and our bathroom is Deere themed. I am obsessed with it. I just like to go into that room because of the cute stuff :lmao:

Hey...we need a Unicorn trip to Disney......Rora, you can get married there!:thumbsup2
We've always wanted to Unicorn trip to Disney!! Hopefully someday!! We. Will. Get. There!:banana:

Ugh, we (okay, I did--although DFiance is a HUGE Disney person) wanted to get married at Disney but we decided against it. But yes, I should! That's where I should elope to and all my Unicorns can come!!!! That would be so much fun. Man, would we party! :woohoo::woohoo:

EDIT: it was nice chatting! I have to start some work and dinner.. hopefully I will be on later. I see that Jenny's light is on-- hi Jenny!! :)
