This is our first trip in a number of years and last time we could pre-purchase the "photo pass" CD for about $100...are there any offers like this currently running?

Hi,

With the Memory Maker option you get unlimited downloads of your pics plus the option to take Magic Photos, with characters or "effects" interacting with you on the finished photo. :tink:

Many more variations than the "old" Hold-Out-Your-Hand-For-Tinkerbell pictures. :earsboy:

The MM add on varies with your ticket option, I believe. But perhaps someone else has more hard facts about that? :smickey:

One of the best decisions for us was pre-buying memory maker. We ended up with close to 400 pictures and the videos from rides like 7DMT ride and Tower of Terror were fun.

To add an additional question --
What is the difference between the Photopass I get with my Gold AP and the full Memory Maker?
Can I download Photopass pictures? Can I print my own or do I have to buy them from Disney? Do I get ride Videos.

I plan on upgrading to an AP for my upcoming trip and am also wondering if there's a difference between Photopass & Memory Maker?

Having an AP with the PhotoPass download entitlement is basically the same has having Memory Maker.
The primary difference is with the expiration date of photos/videos and the amount of time you have to download them.

The normal PhotoPass expiration window is 45 days from date taken. If you have an AP with the download entitlement, this is extended to 1 year.
The download window for Memory Maker is 30 days from when you download the first photo. If you have an AP with the download entitlement, this is also extended to 1 year (based on date taken).

What if you already purchased memory maker, then decide to upgrade to AP? Do they credit you for the memory maker?
