Has this ever happened to anyone....

Reservations are continually being made in my name, sometimes with confirmations sent to my address and sometimes not.

Unless I have a split personality or amnesia, or maybe Alzheimer's disease, I have not been making multiple reservations that keep being made by SOMEONE...who knows?

I am going out of my mind with it. Has this ever happened to anyone? Luckily, member services isn't giving me a hard time about cancelling reservations that I never made and is returning my points to their use year, but it is getting a little ridiculous. Today will be the third time that by some random event a reservation was made that I DIDN'T MAKE!

Any suggestions for clearing this up? There is no one that has my member information or that could have gotten hold of it. This is just some Disney freak error that keeps on happening. I feel like it's robbery because if I didn't understand the system well, I would be oblivious to it.

Call Member Services and ask to speak to a Supervisor. If this were happening to me, I'd want a new member number - and maybe some type of "fraud alert" put on my account such that the CM asked for extra information to be sure that he/she was really talking to me!

Best wishes -

P.S. What you describe is NOT normal and should not be happening. Please let us know how you do with Member Services.

I would definitely do as Carol suggested, but there are two problems here. One is that you are being inconvenienced.

But the second problem is that some other DVC member is calling for reservations, thinks they HAVE reservations, and then you are canceling them! There is a danger that your points could get messed up, but I'd say there's a 100% chance that someone's vacation is getting messed up.

Please ask MS to backtrack those confirmations and make sure the original caller gets the reservations they think they made.

I dont know how it happened, but MS pulled up another members account that has the same name as mine, when I was making my ressies last week. The total points was off (I dont have any) and MS kept saying I had points left in 2005. I kept questioning, and then I asked if that was the right account.

I could have basically made a ressie and that member would have received the confirmation and cancelled it which would have really messed me up!

This is possibly what happened with you.

We have password protected our account and that has worked well. There was only one time that I have called that I wasn't asked for the password. We did this after one of our DVC member cards was stolen.

okay when I call member service - I have to give my account number, name, address and the last 4 number of SSN.

How can anyone pull up the wrong account that matches this information?

Something very strange is going on here.

Well in my situation, I have 2 memberships, so I did give all my info initially, but when MS pulled up my second membership, I didnt go thru all that, so she chose the wrong person. I thought it was strange too, but they have all these screens they are scrolling through. I thought my accounts were linked together, but guess not :confused3

I still have no idea how it happened. I called to correct it, made sure they had all the correct information. I will keep calling and checking to be sure it is not continuing to happen. It's very mysterious. I think I will try asking for the password protection thing next time I call. In any case, we are on our way for a split stay--WL and SSR in November. Can't wait. Thanks for the comments.

Wow! What are the odds of that!? -- 2 "LIFERBABE"s out of 90,000 members! :earboy2:

To the OP--do what's being suggested, call MS. I too strongly agree about getting a new member number.

There may be something going on with their systems- I haven't had ressies made (but then again I've got a ressie out there that uses all my points for the next two years, so they couldn't) BUT I did just get a confirmation with an address that I haven't lived at in two years and I've moved TWICE since then. :confused3

.... maybe someone hacked into the system and is having a good 'ole time making ressies :maleficen

Good idea to keep good records of your account in case things get messed up.
