Peter Pan's Flight - FP or RD?

Either/or I think. I prefer to Fastpass it, but if you want to save the FP for roller coasters, then I would do rope drop.

We hit Peter Pan first things at rope drop last week, and got to see the new queue without waiting very long. This is our second time hitting it at rope drop without a FP, and it's worked well for us.

We did the attraction twice in the first 25 minutes the park was open earlier this month - at RD, there was no wait walking through the queue, and after a short pause, the second time we got part-way through the new area before reaching a stopping point. So on lighter crowd days, the line takes a while to build up.

One area to "slow down and play" a bit is where your shadow interacts with certain invisible elements. You'll notice something just a bit odd and interesting as you watch your shadow.

We rode it two days ago about a half hour after rope drop on a very busy day at MK. It was only 20 minute then but was already up to 40 minutes by the time we finished.

The pre-ride queue activity is really amazing. In fact, for me it actually made the actual ride seem a little dated, but still fun. My daughter held up her shadow hand to the shadow butterflies, and one of the butterflies actually landed on her shadow finger and stayed on her finger even as she moved it around slowly. Are you kidding me? I want to shake the hand of that programmer.

We were there 2 weeks ago and did not get a FP. We were there at RD and did Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Its a Small World, and Mickey's Philharmagic all between 9 and 10:30. No waits for anything!

I always FP Peter Pan. I find most crowds head to Fantasyland first thing, so I head to other lands at rope drop.

I think a general rule for Peter Pan with the new pre-ride queue is the wait time will be the number of minutes since park opening up to a max of about 90.

So if you want to experience the new interactive queue without waiting too long get there within the first hour on busy days or first two hours on slow days.
