I vote for people with pet peeves.
This must mean you annoy yourself.

I vote for people with pet peeves.

I really try to stay away from threads like this...but I will share this time.
My biggest is people who invade my personal space. I don't know why people have to ride on your back while waiting in line.
I was waiting for Astro Orbiter a few years back and this little boy kept hitting and poking my behind. (it is not that big, so there was no reason for that) Anyway, I turned around to his mother and said "Excuse me, ma'am, will you please keep your son's finger out of my butt?" (I did use a different word, which is out of character for me
) He did not do it again.
Why would somebody need to sit down? This is concrete, not stadium seating. If it was meant that those watching the show should sit, Disney would have put seats there.

All the jerks that don´t sit down in front of me in front of Cinderella´s Castle.

Personally, I wish the whole area in front of the castle was sitting room. WITH seats! Why would somebody need to sit down? This is concrete, not stadium seating. If it was meant that those watching the show should sit, Disney would have put seats there.
Then you'd have fights over who stole who's seat!

I have had to ask a mother to keep her kids hands off of me too. The kid was around 5. He had a REAL fascination with the back pocket of my shorts. I just turned around and asked the mother if there was some reason her son couldn't keep his hands off my a**. She at least had the decency to be embarrassed and apologized. Apparently there was a small thread hanging from my pocket that he just felt the need to pull off. Too bad he never got it.

That reminds me. I have a "Crabby But Loveable" Donald Duck backpack style purse from Donald's...er...um...Mickey's Philharmagic with Donald's plush butt and feet sticking out the back of it. Do you know how many kids like to play with the feet?? And how many parents say "Oh how cute! Look it's Donald" and LET them? It doesn't bother me too bad unless I get several kids in one day doing it. Then it gets old.

Profanity to the parent is just immature.
Where's "People who expect others to give up a seat on the bus, despite the fact that we're ALL tired and all have one good reason or another why we "deserve" a seat" ?
thats really "adult like" swearing in front of children.![]()
Its just a child, and disney is for children too. If it was an adult playing with your butt that would be different. A better way would have been to ask the child "Whats your name? Are you having fun?" Then it diverts the child's interest, and the parent hopefully wakes up to whats happening. Profanity to the parent is just immature.
You're right. She should have told the child PERSONALLY to get his hands off her @ss. That way he feels as if his actions are just as valid and effective as an adult's. We wouldn't want his creativity and self-expression to be stifled.

I don't expect anything. I just think a teenager sitting while a senior citizen sits is just rude, and is my pet peeve.
I don't want anyone giving me their seat. But if I were pregnant or on crutches or older, I think it would be very nice.
Oh, and while we're at it - you guys who let your toddlers sleep across a couple of seats while people stand...not cool. Your toddler could be in your lap, for that matter.
Instead of standing, we step to the side and wait for the next bus or hop in a cab.
Why can't/won't others do the same? Why get on a crowded bus, then get upset when you're not offered a seat?![]()
.
Of the poll choices listed, this is what we saw on a trip last week...
Stopping short (walkways, etc.) more people not looking where they are going
People not giving up their seat on the bus to someone who needs it more did not ride the bus system
Swearing none
Nudity none
Infants at parks Did not have any infants ruin any attractions or meals
Running commentary on rides/ talking on cell phones on rides none
Cutting in front in lines/ to watch the parade b]saw some of this, but nothing that impacted my ability to watch the parades [/b]
Smoking in non-designated areas b]none[/b]
People pretending to not speak English none
Having your personal space invaded none

Once we were on a crowded bus where this young family had taken up the whole back of a bus, with little kids sprawled out and sleeping, and a big wagon blocking other seats. Meanwhile, the bus was packed with people standing. I just kept looking at them thinking, "Aren't you embarrassed????"
I've seen this also. It amazes me that people will do this and that others will allow it.![]()
I have commented on that behavior. Only I'm a little more sneaky about it. My family were on the way back to the POP on our bus, our DD was 5 and sitting in her own seat. I kinda loudly asked her to sit on my lap so we weren't taking up more seats and that it's nice to let people sit down. The dad and sleeping toddler, who took my DDs deat were also fairly loudly thankful.
We rode back with them a couple of times after that...they never took more seats then necessary after that.
