You're right. She should have told the child PERSONALLY to get his hands off her ***. That way he feels as if his actions are just as valid and effective as an adult's. We wouldn't want his creativity and self-expression to be stifled.
:rotfl2: :rotfl: Yeah, really. If your kid is feeling people up at 5 years old, having him hear the a-word is the least of your problems!!! I have the sneaking suspicion little Mr. Grabby will get his face slapped by a LOT of girls when he gets older! Seriously, that just comes back to people teaching kids how to behave in public and I'm sure the kid has heard a lot worse things than the "a-word" probably from his own parents.;)

What about...........

People who don't have their autograph books ready and are holding up the line.

or

parents that don't keep their kids in character lines.

I have to share this......At DL 2 years ago I was eating at a character meal and Minnie and pluto were stopped by each other and I asked them both if I could take their picture.I started to But this little kid kept running into the photo..... back and fourth. I was so mad..this is a rare moment. His parents thought it was cute. That he was so excited Minnie and Pluto shook their heads in disbelief. I gave up because the characters were leaving. I looked at the parents and told them.... to leash their child in the future...lol

My biggest pet peeve wasn't mentioned - FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IN A DARK ROOM. The very first time I rode POC, some idiot in the seat in front of me kept taking flash pictures. Pictures in front of them, pictures of the people they were with, pictures BEHIND them. I was behind them. I was really really pissed. I mentioned this, several times, as did others in the boat. Idiot didn't really care.

Happens all the time. What morons.

KC:)

I'm not sure why this would be a pet peeve of anyones.

I'm assuming that people are talking about a beet red baby that's crying, which I've seen plenty. But for me, that is just one big category, the bad parent one.

The parents who just don't parent while they are at WDW, so they either do marathon touring until everyone is either crying or hitting someone, or they make their kids do rides they are scared of, or they don't feel like disciplining them when they should, stuff like that. It's hard to watch, if a kid is miserable and the parent is too busy with his or her vacation to remember he or she's a parent.

Personally, I don't think WDW is just for kids, but if the kids are yours, I think the vacation should be for them.

By no means should infants have to stay home. But to drag a baby under 6 months old around the park in the heat of summer for 10-12 hours is too much for me. I picked that answer and I stick by it. :firefight

I have a child and have friends that have FOUR children, so I'm not unsympathetic to the needs of the entire family and not just one member. However, very young babies do not need to be drug through WDW - it's hard on any adult, much less a newborn IMO. Bring a sitter with you, hire one at the resort or maybe wait a year or two. I took my DD when she was 2 (TWO!) and it was a very hard day. We're locals, and for her most times of the year it was always far too hot, far too overstimulating and just too much unless we only did 1/2 a day.

I am not judging anyone here, do what you want - it's a free country and none of my business, but when I see infants in a snuggli in July, I'm always praying there's sunscreen, lots of shade and plenty of long breaks involved.
IMO.
:flower3:

I have to agree with this one. I have a friend who took her 6month old during August who has downs syndrome and a heart condition so she could get the free dining. :confused3 I just feel bad when I see newborns in strollers at festivals crying their heads off because of the crowds and heat.

My biggest pet peeve is that so many of the rides go from having an orderly line to a line that spills into a big room (Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Rock n' Rollercoaster, etc) which just begs people to push and shove for position within the room, etc. It drives me crazy when people from the back of the line try to jockey for position, but it also drives me crazy that the line is set up like this to begin with!

I voted for the talking on rides, since that probably irritates me more than the rest. I'd also include flash photography on rides as well. Morons. 99% of those pictures are going to turn out like crud anyway.

Stopping in walkways is annoying, but I figure sooner or later they will learn that lesson the hard way.

No problems with infants.

Nudity??????

I agree. What's the problem with nudity?

This reminded me of another one of mine. People that are too lazy/busy/whatever to wait in line for a character and so will go right up and snap a photo of the character with another's family in the shot!
I mean really - can you imagine that slide show at home?

"Ok - now here is Mickey (and no we don't know who those people are)....and here is Goofy (again - have no idea who those children are) etc..."

I voted for cutting the lines

But here's one of mine
People who complain about or give dirty looks to smokers who smoke in designated areas, that they decide to walk thru or near. :confused3

You are so right, HM is annoying the way it funnels back down to one line after the elevator. Fortunately it's right near the ride and the ride is continuous so it's not a big deal. But it is annoying having to go through that every time. ToT is different because you can end up with quite a bit longer wait if a bunch of people jump in front of you. Again probably not a big deal, but when everything else is so structured... you are right... it's annoying.

I love the pushers and shovers at Muppets and other 3Ds/shows that push to be in front... only to end up at the far end of the row. Unless they are DOUBLE annoying... push to be the first in... then STOP 1/2 way!

Heelyes are my number one but you didn't have that listed so I picked cutting in.

How about Not Moving All the Way Across the Row in theater type seating?

I have to second the notion of bad parenting being my biggest pet peeve.
I was recently in a hotel lobby and 2 little boys, brothers, were climbing all over the furniture, tackling each other, rolling on the floor etc etc, I was sitting with my kids watching this mess and couldn't figure out who their parents were. Or were they just left alone, no, it was the couple that was on the checkin line who turned around a number of times looked at them and never said a word to them.

i voted for people who talk/on cell phones during attractions....how frickin rude...like i paid hundreds of dollars to take my family to disney to hear your lame convo super loud over the show....dam.....but i also wanted to vote for smokin in not designated areas...cause like someone else stated....it puts others health at risk....and i certainly dont want to smell it....neither does anyone else...that is why there is areas....i remember one time on the raft ride over to tom sawyers island someone was smoking...my grandma is very allergic to smoke....and i cant believe she actually had to ask him to put it out!

At the end of the day, WE WILL NOT GET ON A STANDING ROOM ONLY BUS.
Instead of standing, we step to the side and wait for the next bus or hop in a cab.
Why can't/won't others do the same? Why get on a crowded bus, then get upset when you're not offered a seat?:confused3

I totally agree with this. We never get on a bus when it's obvious that there will be no seat for us. Another pet peeve of mine is being on the outside of the seat and have the "nice person" on the inside crawl over me to give his/her seat to someone else. Sometimes the bus is so darn crowded that there's no room for me to stand to let him/her out. Makes for a very awkward scenario.

Smoking in non-designated areas had to be my choice since that is a health issue and the others are annoyances.

I just asked DH what his pet peeve would be, he said "there are too many people there" :rotfl:
