Doing the happy dance!

So on my exact 90 day mark in August I got up at 5AM (the time it was then) and made all of our ressies. At that time we were a party of ten and I knew it needed to be done.

Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago when several members said they wanted to do Hoop De Doo - are you kidding me?

Realistically I got a little obsessive checking online four or five times a day figuring maybe it could work. (We wanted the 5PM show but were happy to get a 7:15 too - with little ones the 9:30 show was out!) The first time I got a ressie was when the we want to go to MVMCP on 12/3 - and while we had not gotten MVMCP tickets yet we liked that night the best. Then I got a ressie for our last night there on 12/4 - again while we liked that better we had 1900 Park Fare ressies that morning and did not want to do two TS in one day. Plus we wanted to be able to choose any park or moment our last night. So today I do the whole thing again and YIIPPEEEE- I got a ressie for 11/29 our first night there.

Which brings me to an observation. When I got my ADR today I was too lazy to log in so it could count toward our dining plan credits. Today I actually said to myself there won't be one anyway. In retrospect, however, I realized that each of the three times I got a ressie for Hoop De Doo I had not logged in and paid cash on the spot. I know because my credit card has been charged over $400 for our party size three times. Is it a coincidence or are they limiting the number of dining plan people to the dinner show on the online system? I am sure the nice CMs doing ADRs aren't going to answer that one.

Coincidence or not
I book CRT in late SEPT for early DEC. I did not login and got the date and time I requested, I had to give my charge card # to pay for it, But I called and they said that I would be reimbursed for the meal as long as I told the server to use my free dining credits

I did call once to ask if I could switch my cc payment to a dining plan. The CM told they could not apply my dining plan over the phone if I had not logged in - I needed to wait to do so at the counter at check in that night.

It does seem odd that we both had luck as a cash ressie at somewhat hard places for ADRs.

I had a similar problem in that my DDP was not linked to my DVC ressie even though I had added it months earlier and checked to be sure a couple of days before the 90 day mark. So at the 90 day mark at 3:30 AM when I found HDDR @ 5:00 for the day I wanted, I put the $400 on my credit card and figured I'd worry about it later. When I called about my Fantasmic Package (which I still haven't been able to get) @ 7:00 AM the agent told me that I could get a credit when I used the 2 TS credits that night. So a couple of weeks ago when the credit card bill came it reminded me to get some kind of proof of payment. I called that night and explained that I needed a receipt, the agent took my ressie number and told me to hold. She came back a few minutes later and said "I cancelled your reservation (my heart fell out of my chest and I nearly passed out) but I picked it back up again as it seems I have a knack for this". As I began to recover, she said "I knew you wouldn't have let me cancel it so I just figured I'd do it then tell you". It all turned out fine - Thank goodness.
