I am way late to the show but have seen you all over so I thought I would check it out! Read thru the first part of ur 08 report last night-good stuff. You are a funny guy. My Dh and I both grew up in South Cal-me Santa Barbara, him Long Beach. Took our first trip to WDW las May-had a blast. Now back to read this PTR-will read the other parts of ur TR tonight when the kids are in bed.....

My brother and family lived in SB for 12 years. They still have a house there.

Me again, how fun would 2012 be? Wow, give me a few YEARS to save up. We have the same vacation problem as some do but if Dh and I could do WDW and then I could cruise with the girls. And my bday is also in June.
I just read-only on page 28 here-that you were coming to Scottsdale in Aug. Should have started earlier so we could have met up. We are moving to Scottsdale from N Phoenix next month-moving on up!!!
Lovin the pre trippie so far and so many familiar faces. I met Rosie and Lessa in May!

So I survived the 114 degree heat of Scottsdale, AZ.

It was a great trip, except for an afternoon when I became "the drunk" of the drunk story...more on that later....

and more pix and stories of the trip that can only be titled, "Sunburned, Overserved and busted smoking a cigarette."

i had to read your whole drunk story out loud to ray. we were both cracking up.

Oh and at some point, I remember having a cigarette with Dave..I don't smoke. I used to smoke occasionally when I had alot to drink and...well...so I am standing there smoking when my retired minister uncle walks by and says hi....BUSTED. Apparently, I kept saying, "i'm so busted."

i can just hear you saying this over and over like a 14yo kid!

Apparently, I had a 45 minute conversation with Patti's daughter whose name I can't remember. apparently we were laying on one lounge chair.

wow. oh, to be a fly on the wall during that conversation!

Apparently, I had 4 Bloody Marys and 4 Long Island Ice Teas and a beer.

not good. i'm surprised you made it to your room in one piece.

Long Islands are dangerouse! Made right, they don't even taste like alcohol. I can see how easlliy they would go down in the hot weather!

I counted a banana and a ham and cheese panini as the only food you ate...

you had 8 heavy duty drinks...so you were toasted...

you got Wendy mad at you because you blew off church...

you have a period of your life unaccounted for...(granted its a small piece)

and the one thing that you were slightly unsettled by was that you got "busted" by your old pastor smoking a cigarette...

I'm not sure whether to send Wendy some kind of sympathy card... or to be jealous that you were actually able to pull off a 20something bender...

That was a great story-We stayed there earlier in the summer for my bday. Man, I remember those drinking days
You all don't want to come here in the summer but come next month you will be very jealous of my nice weather compared to your rain and snow LOL
