I just read that there is a special and it's (for passholders only)...buy one Counter Service dining plan get the second one 50% off. I will be there for two days, so I'm guessing I can buy one for day one and the other for day two. (and it will be August, not September). Has anyone else read this?

also, I think I read somewhere (a while back on the Universal Site but I can't find it now)....Annual passholders can buy a one-day pass for a friend at a discounted rate. Does anyone know anything about that?

Just got off the phone with Universal. There is no pass-holder discount when buying a 1-day pass...only a two-day pass. And, she didn't know about the Counter service discount.

I believe the dining plans must be used on the day that it is purchased (I think it said that in the restrictions section on the page).

Does anyone know how to purchase the dining plan with the AP discount? Do I need to purchase it in the park or call and purchase before ?

You should just be able to show your AP at any place they sell it to get the buy one get the second at 50%.

To get the BOGO on the dining plan, you will have to purchase it inside the parks, but that can be done at Guest Services or any quick service that takes the dining plan.

Thanks! Planning to do that this weekend and crossing my fingers that the TM at QS places will know how to process it.

Our last trip, the staff at Starbucks inside the parks had NO CLUE how to process QSDP drinks.
