The Party also includes musical performances prior to the tasting. Last year's performers included The Temptations, Mary Wilson and Sister Sledge. Just for comparison's sake, here are just a few of the dishes from the Party we attended last year:
Creole Mustard Lamb Rack with Pecan Sweet Potatoes and a Rosemary-Mint Sauce;
Braised Veal Agnolotti with Seared Sea Scallops and Cauliflower Mousse;
Lemongrass infused Roast Pork Loin with Asian Slaw and Hoison BBQ Sauce;
Smoked Duck with Dried Cherry Chutney on Crostini;
Pan Roasted Saddle of Rabbit, Porcini and Maitake Mushrooms with a Cassoulet of Beans and a Roasted Cippolini and Pinot Noir Emulsion;
Black Pepper and Anisette encrusted Tuna Loin served over Eggplant and Mixed Vegetable Caponata and a Caramel Balsamic Vinegar;
White Wine Poached Pear, Almond Financier, and Pear Granita;
Flourless Chocolate Savarin with roasted Bananas and a Caramel Ice Cream;
Yogurt Cream with Apricot, Honey and Vanilla
Price last year was $65 per person (prixe fixe) and, IMHO, worth every penny. They were held on Saturday nights last year, and probably will be the same this year.
