PART TWO *December 2012 Roll Call* Holidays, FLE & MVMCP!! A very, merry thread!

So back in August DH and I signed up for the SWA 50k rewards credit card. He got it and all I got was info that I was a victim of Identity Fraud! I called and got it "fixed" but it would take over 2 months to get this stuff cleared off my credit report by which then CC offer had expired.

A few weeks ago he received his card and I received an special email offer after this promotion ended to sign up for this card again. I still had to wait a month before I tried again, but the offer had no expiration date. Long story short today I re-applied and I got it!! We're flying to WDW for free including our luggage!!

Now all I have to do is pay off the remaining balance on my vacation, and start looking for stuff to bring in my FREE extra luggage designated for window Christmas decorations.. LOL!!! Don't-cha just love bags fly free!!!

Yay!! Free flights are the best. I did the same thing (well, without the identity fraud issues). I plan on needing one of those free bags to bring home all my souvenirs.

Weather check in for our area- 101 degrees today and in the 90's all week. Happy Fall

Just found out that our flight from SF to Orlando has been changed once again and will be getting in at 11:45 PM. Aargh! Any of you flying United? Make sure you check the website often because this happened twice and I didn't receive any notices. Thinking about renting a car for a day and bringing only carry on bags since we have a washer/dryer in the room. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone experienced waiting for the Disney shuttle this late at night? What about a good rental where it is super easy to pick up the car? I'll go back and look at the posts in this thread regarding renting cars.

My DD and family also had their United flight changed -
they are arriving at 12:20AM. They are booked for the
Disney ME but I hate to think of them arriving at the resort
at 1:30AM. Thinking of cancelling one night at Disney
and getting a hotel room at the airport.

Does anyone window decorate? Last year we stayed at the POP and we loved everyone's window decorations. However, I'm second guessing myself because it isn't the POP we're staying in this year. We're staying at the CSR and the very reason I picked Casitas was because of the look of serenity the place had. hhmmm thoughts??

Does anyone window decorate? Last year we stayed at the POP and we loved everyone's window decorations. However, I'm second guessing myself because it isn't the POP we're staying in this year. We're staying at the CSR and the very reason I picked Casitas was because of the look of serenity the place had. hhmmm thoughts??

I was going to ask that when I saw your post. I was going to when I was booked at POP, but I am not going to at CSR. I am sure it would be okay, but probably not as common as at POP.

Did you do preferred? That's what I have now because I love the Casitas. Thinking about taking it off though. I would still request Casitas, but the other two would be ok. We might rent a car, so that would really make the others fine for me.

Love the free flights. This is how we have flown to WDW all 3 times. We also saved miles for years to get 3 business class tickets to Heathrow 3 years ago. And since we paid our bills in full every month it is seriously free.

Haha. Yup. And, honestly? I don't really care. We've stopped paying the mortgage and whatever, you know? It isn't like I'm going to live in a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house on my own. Ha!

Wedgiesock: did you see Disney on Ice is in town next week? I looked at tickets but then thought of all the snacks I could buy at Disney and decided to save my pennies.

I did see that - our Girl Scout troop is thinking of going so we can get cheaper tickets ... but still, I'm the same as you - its money for Disney!

That makes sense with your parents. I have no excuse, I just think the Casitas are so pretty. But I am thinking we can eat breakfast at PM, and then stop by the room if we need to on the way to the Casitas bus stop.

molitva - kudos to your DB being in veterinary school ... my house is a like a zoo (dog, 3 cats, 4 parakeets, 2 rabbits, 2 snakes & tons of fish .... oh and a frog that lives in my flowerpot, he just moved in, didn't ask or anything!) but I couldn't work at a vet. I boo-hoo when I take mine in and see the other sad animals LOL at your poncho clashing with your paper

Does CSR have external windows that people can see? I've never stayed Mod so not sure. Deluxes have internal hallways so unless you're facing the Boardwalk or a pool, no one can see the windows.

I think I could talk myself into wearing those shoes without too much problem. DH said he wouldn't walk with me if I wore them. I said I think I would enjoy some solo time at WDW.

I'm really hoping for Edward James Olmos. If it's anyone else we'll probably just stick with our original plan (Olivia Newton John). Olmos has done it several times before, so I'm really surprised his name hasn't shown up this year. Fingers crossed!
